Chic Magnet autos back in the day.

  • Dandy Dave changed the title to Chic Magnet autos back in the day.

Only photo I have of my 1978 Corvette Silver Anniversary model.

It had the L82/4 speed combo with black leather and Gymkana suspension.

Definitely a chick magnet in its day.

Personality, charm, appearance, attitude, physique, "equipment", money and wheels.

Use what you have to the best of your ability to make the best impression possible.

My courting year's cars were a 1980 Pontiac Firefird and an 81 Buick Regal.

The Buick came second because Buicks are for older "men".

In retrospect I think the cars were more about the pecking with the other guys than with the girls.  I'm not sure they cared too much.  Although maybe if I was driving a Pacer I would have been testing that theory.

My two teenage cars.   The Plymouth girlfriend was just as pretty at the GTO girlfriend.   I was driving a 82 Lincoln Town Car Signature series when the wife came on the scene.

You would have thought this one would have done it.  Even had hearts sewn in the seats,  but nope.  Of course when I went cruising,  I didn't realize you had to stop long enough for them to get in the car. ;)

Maybe I was just trolling with no intention of actually catching anything.

My wife actually said this might have worked with her and she wasn't a car person before meeting me.

Clearly a 1956 Austin Healy 100-4 .  I was at the beach one time, when it was time to go, there are a chick sitting in it waiting for a ride.  Sorry no pictures all were burned up in a house fire.

It was painted 67 Mustang lime frost.

When my wife to be and I met, we attended the same church. I was driving my winter beater '62 Chevy 11. Things really heated up when I pulled into the church parking lot with my fresh-out-of-winter-storage '78 Caballero. The first marriage lasted 25 years. I still have the Caballero.

Is that a crack I see in the driver's side of the windsheild?

Oh forget it,  I think it's just an optical delusion..

How 'bout this one ?

Actually in New Orleans despite the fake Kansas license plate,

I was staging a video "Trailer" as a "Parade of the Elvis'" for a soon-to-be-released TV show "Memphis Beat.

The ladies apparently couldn't resist my charm,

or was it the allure of the '54 Cadillac?

Four wheels- the red Z-28.  Two wheels-Yamaha YZF600R.  The Yamaha was fun.  The young girls would watch me pull in to a gas station or store.  Then I’d take my full face helmet off revealing a slightly balding 50 yr old rider.  Not quite what they were expecting as the owner😀.
