EmTee
Holy cow! That's a good ride for you - what time did you leave home? You should plan a stop at Thruway exit 34 on the way home. If lunch or dinner time we could visit Flo's... Edited September 2, 2023 by EmTee (see edit history)
Mark Shaw
Drove my 31-60 Buick Sedan on the Portland HCCA Annual Tour this week. Monday 64 miles, Tuesday 113 miles, Wednesday 94 miles. Averaged 13 mpg on non-ethanol gasoline. Not bad for a big heavy Buick.

MCHinson
I drove the 1937 Model 80C to Cars and Coffee this morning. There was a huge crowd there. Included in the crowd were a couple of 1938 Buick Special Coupes that belong to some local fellow AACA members who are also fellow members of the 36-38 Buick Club.

Buicknutty
Today we joined a local car club we are members of for a luncheon at a historic place, the Erie Beach Hotel on the shores of the lake, in the tourist town of Pt Dover, then we took our ride, the '69 Electra over to nearby Turkey Point and did a few photos. Quite quiet there as it's after Labour Day so much nicer without the crowds. This is one of the perks of being retired! We can visit these places on weekdays in the off peak season! 11
Paul White
Hi All, we are back on the road here in Australia for the Buick Club East Coast meet. we left yesterday for the country town of Inverell in northern New South Wales. we had an over night stop in the little town of Gloucester, some 150 miles north of Sydney. we have another 6 days of driving old Buicks to look forward to. More posts to come, Cheers Paul
Paul White
More from Australia, we visited a local bloke who owns a farm machinery wrecking yard in Inverell, He also has an acre sized shed containing dozens of historic tractors etc as well as a large paddock of threshers and other tractor related trailers and a bunch of 1930s and '40s Chevy, Dodge and British trucks. The afternoon we visited a pioneer park which featured dozens of historic buildings from the 1830s to the 1920s which had been relocated from their original locations.
Paul White
Another great day out on the road, today we visited an historic town with an even more historic general store which up until 1999 had been run by the same family for the better part of a century, we also attended a digeridoo performance and a sign making factory set up by a group of mainly young Americans from a Christian community originally from upstate New York amongst other locations.
60FlatTop
Checked the Riviera over for its 45th New York State Inspection in my care. Came home at 2:30 with a new sticker. I figure I am only about 10-12 weeks behind my schedule on the fresh (last) paint job. That is mostly red oxide primer that was under the 8 coats of Claret Mist lacquer. Now the bumpers and lights come out for the final prep work. I was 29 years old when I bought that car. My 75th birthday is the 26th. 6
Paul White
Hi All, I thought I would share a last few photos from the final days of our Buick Club of NSW East Coast Meet. Sunday we had a show and shine day at a local transport museum in Inverell with all 34 Buicks. Amongst the quite extensive museum collection were '18, '24 and '39 Buicks. Sunday night we had our dinner at the local Returned Serviceman's Club and a farewell breakfast on Monday morning. We left Inverell for the town of Wauchope (pronounced 'war hope' - don't ask me how this happened) which was a 200 mile drive through fantastic undulating countryside with the final 35 miles being a steep and very winding descent to sea level which all of our little group ('25, '28, '29, '30, '71 Riv and a '46 Chev) handled extremely well. The following morning we visited a local club member and his extensive car restoration work shop and his collection of several very large Packards, an E-type Jag, '78 Holden Monaro and a '29 Buick roadster. Following a morning tea and a chat we set off south for a night at a sea side area called Tea Gardens and spent a relaxing evening sitting out in the unseasonably warm weather drinking well deserved beers. Wednesday we set off on the last leg home, stopping near my turn off on the Central Coast for a last coffee and chat before the others set off for Sydney and home. Total trip was about 770 miles with approximately 55 gallons of petrol/ gas used resulting in about 14mpg at an approximate cost of about $290.00 US ($5.25 US a gallon). Photos are - '38 sloper, early Buicks at the show and shine, transport museum collection, my '30, view out the window on the way to Wauchope. 195354
Car club had a small meet at a gated community last weekend. This lasted a few hours, had a lunch in the rec center. Must be something in the air four older Buicks in one area is rare in Eugene. Some nice cars arrived fun time, the dodge bumper sticker gets a lot of laughs. Dave Gelinas (XP-300)
Took the '38 Buick to a local car show this Saturday. (09/23/2023) About a 40-mile trip one way. This is a great show that is held in the town of Amesbury, MA. The entire downtown is closed for this event. Brings in over 500 cars. Great historic town that has kept its early twentieth century ambiance for decades. Well preserved Historic District. Amesbury, MA is also known as Carriagetown for its history of manufacturing carriages and early automobiles. It was also the hometown of the late Al Capp the cartoonist who wrote Li'l Abner. Larry Schramm
I took the '15 Truck out for a Cars & Community car show that is part of the Concours show in Detroit at the Detroit Institute of Arts last night. Good time, saw some friends and met a number of other persons. Besides the show, got to drive around downtown DETROIT at NIGHT for a while. A couple of short videos of some of the drive attached. JohnD1956
Ran the Queen to the annual gathering of old cars today Had partial sunshine all day. But it was dry till headed home. Highway Rt 90 in Rensselear NY Smaller group this year. The trees have hardly changed yet Turn off to the site, Mills Mansion. Nice Centurion Convertible. Part of the show field another nicely preserved Buick Roughly 700 cars. Remember that picture above with the turn off to the site? Well on the way home I had to cross the southbound lane to go north. As I pulled out a suv appeared south bound from the dip and I was already in that lane. With little time to think, and already moving I stabbed the gas and the Queen chirped the tires. That was a close call. God saved the Queen today! Thank you Lord...👍😃
