I was able to take a drive up to the top of Twin Peaks this afternoon in between the rain showers.  That's the GG Bridge and the Marin headlands in the distance.

Arghh! When I was there in 2014 you couldn't hardly see the GG bridge from 200 yards away due to the fog!   Neil...Thanks for such a great picture.

 I had the '41 Roadmaster out for a short drive yesterday, only 6 or 7 miles, the loop of a country block. No salt at the time on these roads. They use very little here due to the crops grown.

 I had to move things around to allow space to get my tractor out as we are expecting some snow, and might have to use the plow for the first time. The tractor, and it's no big thing sits in between the '41 and the '16 and I move the '41 and the Reatta up as far as possible to have space to sneak to tractor with its blade behind the '41.

 The '41 was a bit slow starting, and ran terrible, usually it'll settle down after a couple of minutes but it didn't, so I took it out to get it warmed up, then finally it ran well.

 Now it's snowing steadily!

Our local monthly Cars and Coffee event was this morning. It was a bit cloudy but a nice day with temperatures in the 70's. I normally arrive at 9am, and the parking lot is usually about full at that time. With it being new year's day, the crowds seemed to arrive a bit later than normal, but the crowd eventually included about 200-300 cars of all ages before I left at 11 am.

The drop from 70 at noon to 21 at 8 pm was shocking to say the least.  We started with 16 but the wind had it feeling much lower. Needless to say I stayed inside and just thought about driving today.

If you can call it driving as all I could do was steer and brake as we were loading my beloved 1937 "Lucy" on the rollback.

Well my friend, I just can't give a "like" to this post as it's so sad. Beautiful car. The up side is as a parts car it will give some lovely pieces to help out another '37.

Snowed last week of December unusual at my place in Eugene. I had made plans to move the RM from our barn to the house. I was on the public roads for about a thousand feet then up to the house. 
Heater and defrost also power seat still need repair & a few small items then it should be on the road. I am looking for the power seat track now.


l try to not leave anything in our barn over the winter, the local wildlife might want to move in.

Thanks for posting, I forgot to tally up 2021 mileage. Starting mileage on 12/28/20 was 102,041, and ending mileage on 12/31/21 was 104,478. Total was 2,457, so not bad for having so many things cancelled due to Covid. 
Have 184 so far in 2022, and hope to better last year total.

Took a 120 mile trip through the Texas hill country just to see some green (live oaks and mountain cedar) since everything is brown-gray-drab locally. 

50 degrees so no bugs to kill...just the planet.

Seems they added a dozen traffic lights in the past year and many more cars on the road.

A new record for an old dude:  did not have to stop and pee on this trip!

Drove the ‘63 Riviera to the All American Day car show in Adelaide, South Australia where we caught up with a few Buick owners. Nice 120mile round trip with friend Darryl (with blue check shirt in photo) to share the fun. Riviera ran extra well and since tightening the RH outer door panel no longer has the annoying rattle. Spent time the day before washing the body and cleaning up the white walls and hub caps. Used compressed air to blow the caps dry with good results. Snowflake looked stunning in the overcast conditions.
 

A few other Buicks in attendance along with a hot rod powered by a ‘64 Nailhead. Let the pictures talk.

We can’t stay home. Out with a small group of car guys to a breakfast at the Finniss General Store, a small cafe in a tiny country town. Great drive and a good breakfast too. A couple of red porches, Mazda coupe, Holden Monaro (similar to late model Pontiac GTO), Ford powered hot rod, Triumph TR8 plus my Riviera.

He was quite knowledgeable about the Nailhead and was aware they were used in traditional hot rods in the US and that’s what he wanted. His words “he didn’t want another 350 Chev with a 9” diff”. Enjoys showing it very much so as it always creates interest!
