ScarredKnightfan
*Auto dealerships count on catchy, unique & creative marketing campaigns to attract customers. Sometimes, the name of the place works wonders. For instance, a dealership named LUST!http://www.oldcarsstronghearts.com/2015/11/07/saturday-smorgasbord-40/What odd dealership names have you seen? auburnseeker
The local dealer here in town was called Hickey Ford. I think it was the owner's last name but I'm sure more than one joke was made about them. I have some NOS trunk plates and key chains from it. It was Hickey from about 57-65. Then became Eichler Ford.
Steve Moskowitz
Not an unusual name, it was the name of the man I bought the dealership from...later changed it to classic but thought you would enjoy the billboard of me in my '20 Olds. We had a lot of fun with that caricature on billboards and print ads.

Jim Bollman
I remember growing up in NW Ohio in the 60s and seeing ads on TV for a dealer in the Toledo area. It was called Nobody, I think they sold Oldsmobile but not sure. They would open with a silhouette of a guy smoking a cigar rotating in a chair while the announcer said our competitors say nobody beats our deals, (and as the lights came up) meet Mr. Nobody. Hudsy Wudsy
It's not a particularly amusing name in itself, but a little odd, nevertheless...Tenvoorde Ford in St Cloud MN. It always sounds like "ten forty" when someone pronounces it. They are the country's second oldest Ford dealership. BTW, it's a Dutch-German name. bubba
"Witch City Motors", Salem is on the plate attached to my 1925 Buick. I thought something was odd when every time I opened the hood a black cat jumped out. Instead of filling it up with "Ethyl", it takes Sabrina for a fast ride or Samantha for a nice cruise. It spent the first forty years in Marblehead, Ma. Edited November 12, 2015 by bubba (see edit history)

Guest 1arunem
Long Lewis Hardware ( moved to downtown Birmingham from Bessemer in 1929) actually just closed a couple of months ago (bought out by another Hardware outfit) after over 100 years in business. They became a Ford dealer I believe in 1915 and the dealership still exists and is a large one.
