What are you bringing to Fall Hershey 2024?

Recommended Posts

I am starting a new thread for this year’s Fall Hershey (2024), to avoid confusion with the topic that was posted from last year.

I am not a vendor, which I am certain would be the main focus here, but I am bringing (once again) my 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire Coupe to the car show on Friday, October 11th.  Looking very much forward to walking the swap meet area, and being part of the greatest car show there is!

A lot of items will need to find a new home as my Hershey setup days may be numbered due to health and other issues. If you're looking for 20's-30's Ford parts, please come see me. Pre WWII stuff as usual, Small parts, paper, photographs, pressed steel and tin toys , some car mascots/hood ornaments  etc. Will arrive Monday , set up Tuesday a.m. open for business Tuesday afternoon I hope,  close up Friday. Red Field North RNG 10 and 11  North East Corner. Everything will be marked with prices and no deep discounts to the "I'll giv yuz and do bedda crowd" If you saw what I have on ebay you would have to pay tax and shipping - here you will see the real deal as well as condition. ( the toy shown is a original Citroen touring car with cloth top boot, steering , and near mint paint I got in England 45 years ago)

It will be nice to see old friends in person again and meet new ones.

Walt

MORE ITEMS TO SEE THAT I WILL BRING: See below the photo of the toy car

Some emblems , RR factory issued Bulletins, plus not photographed pressed steel toy fire engines from the 1920s , 1934? Dodge plain cap with name on front. Possibly 1932 Studebaker bird mascot, Packard hubcaps - fit 1936 15th series, maybe some steel signs , 8 x 10 b & w photos some period literature.

Couple more additions - 8 x 10 b & w photographs I had made off originals about 30 years or more ago of pre war classic cars - at European auto shows and salons both American and European cars PLUS A GM styling model made out of wood. See photo here.  It is about 12 inches long.

I'll be in my usual spaces - GCC 5,6 almost across from the crab-cake vendor (my favorite lunch spot).  Should be set up Tuesday.  If I'm not there it's because I'm out looking around.  Drop by later PM for a visit.  We'll catch up sometime over the week I'm sure.  Remember to bring me some old spark plugs for my collection too.

Always an interesting assortment of early automobilia - the real thing including a selection of spark plugs for collectors, a great assortment of early automotive sheet music, misc literature including some early periodicals, some brass stuff, lamps, clocks, watch fobs, pins, buttons and other small items. Hope to have a selection of Doulton motoring plates and some other early ceramics, some early prints and postcards as well as a few antique toys.  It's a treasure hunt!

I have decided to include a pile of non-Model A Ford parts that I need to get rid of simply because they are not in my wheelhouse. These parts will be sold cheap enough that they should attract other vendors. These parts include a '41 Buick dash, a mid-twenties Dodge front fender, some unknown headlights (all pre-WW2), a hood that I believe is late 20's Mopar, '38 Ford front fender, accessory under-dash heaters, unknown roadster top bows, large trunk, unknown running boards and more. Cheap, cheap, cheap! C4Y 1-3

I have two sets of four Buick dog-dish hubcaps.  I bought them for my 1963 LeSabre but decided to stick with the full wheel covers.  These are driver quality at best.  They'll make a decent set of four, with the others usable as spares.  Asking $10.00 each or $60.00 if you buy them all.  I also have five new plastic trim rings for 15-inch wheels.  I bought them new and never used them.  Asking $10.00 each or $40.00 for the set of five.  Last, I have the vinyl roof trim pieces for both sides for 1965-66 Caprice and Impala four-door hardtops.  Asking price $75.00

I'll be at my flea market spaces in the Red Field, RNI 79-86 from Monday through Thursday.  My friends will sell the items for me if I'm wandering through the flea market.  Please send a PM if interested in these items.  Thanks.

I will be there as usual in Antique Studebaker Row. This is a row of Antique Studebaker Vendor spaces from CCN 18-31.
This is where the Antique Studebaker Club Tent is, and this year the Studebaker National Museum will be co-located in that tent.

I will be bringing parts, more memorabilia than usual - Studebaker Signs, Cans, etc.

Also, other auto related cans and signs.

I won't bring paper this year. as Hershey is rough on it.

But if there is something Antique Studebaker that you need, message me and I will bring it.

I have a couple of early bumpers that I believe to be aftermarket. This one is width adjustable and looks identical to this one seen on a 1922 Cadillac. I'll be happy to deliver it to Hershey. $40

TRUE WORDS - FACT.  Some amazing stuff to be found if you are diligent - it helps to have good fiends that also know what you collect as they are an extra pair of eyes to let you know about what is out there.

As I have roamed the flea market fields " Fields of Dreams" over the years I think of the great tv movie that was done based on a story by Dylan Thomas named 'The Christmas Story'  when the young lad is sitting by the Christmas tree patiently waiting to be able to open presents and says "Let's get to the useless presents"   We are all that kid at Hershey and are transported back in time to when our lives were young , and the anticipation of yearly presents to make us happy was why we were good.

I know that there are many of you who know me and just read that and are now thinking " yep, Walt is in an artist/sentimentalist  mode of thought, thinking totally out of the box" Still crazy after all these years.......

This was last years list, but rest assured I didn't sell all of it, (have edited out some specific items sold( and will be once again bringing a full assortment of Packard stuff - heavy on the shiny/rare stuff - I am mostly pre-war, but as noted, I share spaces with 3 other guys, postwar as well...please stop by and let us help you.  Thanks! DAF

or before, or after - I only wish I could sell it all !

Hershey Spaces GAF20-24

PACKARD PARTS !!  and a smattering of "other", a few misc 35-35 Pierce items (yes, I'll let EdM know) + EE-3 Carburetor, Guide 7 7/8 driving lights, gorgeous pair of early Fog Kings,  the requisite automobilia (oil cans, models, toys), but really mainly Packard Parts.  Heavy in the 35-42 junior and senior, some 28-30 stuff (Ray's) and a reasonable quantity of postwar, examples - 56 Carrib air cleaner, F/R 56 golden circles,  NOS 56 chrome door strikers, , NOS 56 heater control plastics, red hex for 56 tail light, outside door handle backers, NOS pair 53-54 parking lights.  NOS 48-50 grille emblem, NOS wiper arms, etc.   OK - prewar stuff...have way more than the trailer holds, but I have piled to go, set of super 42 160/senior hubcaps, NEW set of 39-120 hubcaps(Hirsch), super pair 42 side grilles, 41-42 160/180 tail lights complete, and parts/lenses, parking light lenses and holddown "fingers",  K wheel (hopefully for the guy who was sorely disappointed last year), 35-39 STELLAR Road/Fog lamps, 35-36 SUPER 8 splash pans, 33-36 brake dust bands, small group of 33-34 stuff (hood vent trims, trunk rack bumper supports) 33-36 Cloissonne' crest horn button, 39 V12 hood side medallions, 39-40 Super 8  hood side medallions, 41+42 180 hood side medallions, NEW 35+36 SUPER 8 exhaust manifold,  NEW 35-36 Wiring Harness, Terrell restored 35-39 V12 fuel pump, 36-7 115/120 Banjo wheels (restored),  rebuilt 37-39 EE-23 carb and a disassembled DIY project carb with a good EE-22 bowl.  Yes, of course some shiny goddesses. 37+38+39+40.  I think I've got a 41 Cormorant here, will try to remember that...  Right now I have a 36-120 trunk rack set to go, but I have it listed on ebait and am entertaining an offer, so if you are looking for a trunk rack, please advise quickly.

I also have tons of stuff I have not yet decided to bring...what are you needing??  a 35-39 V12 waterpump, 38-39 V12 generator, 33-36 CO1240 and CO1300 generators, 40-42 356 MAX 4014 starter, MAX 4006/18/24/27 Starters, 39 Super 8 Starter, Grilles?  yeah, those too...37 115/120, 38-9 110/120, 40-42 110/120 and 160/180.  See what I mean, heavy stuff or bulky stuff is overruled by boxes and boxes of smaller stuff...door handles, engine parts, suspension parts, overdrive parts, c'mon, you get the idea.  Headlights/lenses 35-39 junior AND senior.  But fragile stuff also takes more time to pack. I've brought distributors in years past and bring them home? 37-39 radiators are going to be scrapped, or sell for scrap value only if called for in advance, hundred bucks each delivered to Hershey....believed good radiators, worth it for the tanks and you can scrap the cores....

I share the spaces, GAF20-24 with 3 other guys - all bringing Packard stuff....

Ray's got a great set of 38-39 6/120 wheels, some 28-30 stuff, nice 40-41 160 hubcaps, lots of shiny trim stuff all years - even some Studebaker Hawk parts!

Bob is bringing some 40-42 grilles, hood ornaments, a few signs, and who knows what else

We are diagonally behind the Packard Club tent....what can we help you with?  yes, we'll have a FREE pile and stuff so cheap you'll wonder why we make the effort to bring..

I am thinking about bringing a Bell housing for a 1948 Chrysler product 6 cyl. with the Fluid drive transmission.  I had to buy the whole bellhousing, top and bottom to get just the bottom section that I needed.  If anyone has a need for it I can bring it along.  Let me know.

I will be bringing a Carter Carburetor stand, shop manuals (55 Parkard, 41 Oldsmobile, and more) heaters, stainless trim.

Also have some 41-48 Lincoln, Zephyr stuff that I might bring?????  Any interest?

My first time selling, I will be bringing 31-32 Plymouth PA and PB parts, 1928-70s owners manuals, some old car books, exhaust whistles, signs and whatever else I can fit. C4F 40-41.

What does anyone need for Plymouth PA/PB?

1932 first production carburetor (Carter 4A1).

Do NOT need either second production (4A2) or third production (4A3).

Condition not overly important as long as it is complete, and not broken.

Need for my article on Carter BB-1 carbs.

I won't be going to Hershey, but UPS wll be ;)
