John Byrd
Ms. Victorialynn, we don't really have any seasons here in Hawaii, except when the whales are here and when they're not, but here's our two "babies" with some background in a couple of different spots. 7

Steve_Mack_CT
Great thread idea! Not so good pics of the foliage but spent last Sunday with my better half, and our doggie inspecting leaves in western MA. Cars and coffee with the A roadster this coming Saturday. Will get better pics of the CT color.
John_S_in_Penna
Here are a couple of pictures I took a previous year in northwestern Pennsylvania. The leaves there tend to peak around October 10-12, and they get much more colorful than those in the southern part of the state. Leaves are best seen when the sun is shining brightly on them. Pictures simply can't to justice in capturing the magnificence. The best I've seen is a whole grove of trees as bright orange as fluorescent orange traffic cones! The picture below with snow was taken on October 6, 2001-- the earliest snow I remember. tripwire
Vermont is famous for its fall foliage. But, not this year. At least here in the Champlain Valley. These photos were taken 2 weeks ago and most of the trees were still very green. My wife & I had a fun ride around Mallett's Bay anyway. John_S_in_Penna
We may take autumn color for granted, but I read that very few parts of the world see the spectacular colors that we see in the northeastern United States. Do northern Europe and southern Australia get the same type of bright autumn color? What other areas?

John348
I just pull;ed my son's 54 out of the garage for the picture. Leaves are really behind here on Long Island, not many have changed yet, but there are a few trees in the back that started. This car belonged to my father and when he passed I offered my son's a car from his collection. My oldest son was the only one who took me up on the offer.

Walt G
Great idea for a post, as John says the leaves here on long island are slow to turn color, and it seems to be constantly raining or overcast recently .. Thanks Victoria for getting this going, and to all who have contributed. Walt G.

oldcarfudd
Like many of you, I have no fall color pictures this year because we have no fall color. Here are a couple of pictures from prior years - not great color, but decent pictures. And the Stanley picture was taken at a Cars and Croissants gathering on New Year's Day 2016 temperature 28, and definitely no fall color!
Digger914
With rain changing over to snow predicted for today I was barely able to finish grinding up the remaining fall foliage. I did however get a good top down photo of the convertible surrounded by the brilliant colors of late October in Minnesota.
John_S_in_Penna
Here is Cadillac's interpretation of autumn in the colors of their 1928 line of cars. Their well known catalogue, "Color Creations from Nature's Studio," showed a line of color offerings inspired by the colors of nature. The picture shows their "Autumn" car complete with brass-plated grille, bumpers, headlights, and exterior hardware--very unusual for 1928: Edited October 27, 2017 by John_S_in_Penna (see edit history)
victorialynn2
Oh wow @John_S_in_Penna that is really interesting. Cars are such things of beauty and so much thought was put into them. I feel the newer cars are not nearly as detailed and don’t have the design in colors or lines of yesterday. ? It’s threads like this that make me wish we had a “❤️“ Emoji. All of these pics are outstanding! Plus I had no idea that Hawaii had a “wale” season. ? It is interesting to see what different parts of the world look like right now. Maybe our friends on other continents will show us what their “fall” looks like also? Keep posting, I’m really enjoying your pics. There are a couple of you I want to adopt though, so I can move into your beautiful homes. JACK M
I guess I will take my camera with me next week when I go to China. It must be fall there too. An unfortunate pic of my neighbors shop from my deck last week. He had been working on a golf cart and apparently leaked some gas onto the hot engine or possibly wiring. He tried to pull it out of the shed behind the shop, but couldn't and fire spread to the shop itself. He was smiling when he told me the story, as the fire was getting bigger he finally figured that he wasn't going to be able to deal with it himself and made the call. Unfortunately the first tanker didn't show up for over 15 minutes with 1500 gallons of water. The pumper puts out 500 GPM, you do the math, kind of disappointing. If you look closely you can see some color changing it the trees back there. Edited October 27, 2017 by JACK M (see edit history)
