Just befor 6" of snow this weekend. All 4 tires on the floor.Timidly exploring the outside world. Now he was ready to come out. Neighbor Monty and I took him for several miles to limber him up a bit. Amazing on how well the car stops now that all 4 wheel brakes are functioning. When we first got the car only the right rear had been doing any braking. That was with the assist of the emergency brake. That rear drum was very worn on the inside surface and 3/16" out of round. We did another several miles on Friday before the snow fell. Now for some tweaking. Nice to see when a plan comes together. Hope you have a great 2024 season with him Larry.

dibarlaw
Update on my 1925 Master's fuel issue. I thought all was solved as far as leaks. Well, I went to drive Remley to our Lenten Fish Fry on Friday. When I parked him in the parking lot and shut of the fuel from the Vacuum tank it seem as thought the brass line cracked at the bend going up to the vacuum tank. It did not show up untill the car was parked on a bit of a side slant. It looked as though I lost at least a quart of fuel. Even though the engine was shut down fuel was bubbling out of the crack from residual vacuum. No rest for the wicked!
Dandy Dave
Real short drive in the 1915 Buick yesterday. I drove it out of the shop to get the Buick Snow Master Super Shovel out and then put put it back in. It started right up and ran like it should after it's winter nap. I won't take it on the road until rain washes the salt away.

parkertom
I drove this 71 LeSabre 840 miles home to Virginia from @Smartin’s in Missouri over today and yesterday. Nothing but rain the whole time! It handled flawlessly and reminded just how wonderful these cars are to drive. Put my Spotify on the Billboard Top 100 for 1971 and let it play. We are both a little tired and waterlogged and it will get a proper cleaning after the monsoons finish. 13

cjp69
How far do you have to drive it to count? We had a short break in the rain, so I backed my new 65 Riviera out of the storage building, turned it around, and backed it in, that way I could use the natural light to clean the front end. Does that count? :>)

Next to the black Riv is a mid 2010's Mustang, GT350 I think (not mine), next to that a 66 Skylark (not mine), next to that my 79 Camaro Z28. Back row is my other 65 Riviera Gran Sport, my 70 GS455, a 69/70 Lincoln (not mine), a 67 Skylark convertible (not mine) and a 32-34 Plymouth (not mine). Not seen to the left is my 71 Riviera GS. Couple of empty spots in the picture as I was shuffling things around to give myself room to easily move around the car. White or blackwalls with the chrome road wheels? 😄😄 Ps: Any chance we could see a picture of the 66 Skylark?

JohnD1956
In todays news, ran the GS in the (in)famous St Patricks Day Parade. I did this last year with Annie, but I had no riders. This year they threw the Tulip Queen and her court at the car! Yep, the lovely tall lady, who played basketball in college was the Queen. It was a larger crowd this year with very nice weather

Joshcollingwood
Almost two months ago we had a vintage car in our Michigan workshop Cadillac Eldorado and the responsibility to deliver it comes in to my hand and seriously it felt like i was driving a Vintage Aeroplan. The drive, the air condition, the stability and all of the other feature were in the great position. Hatts off to that guy who was driving and caring for such a long time period of time. Brooklyn Beer
Short drive for groceries today. Difficult drive 3 weeks out from rotator cuff surgery but at least it is an automatic. Coming home stopped for a light and it felt like I dropped a cylinder with a bad miss. I mean really bad. At 50 - 55 MPH though never skipped a beat. Only at idle. Let her cool down and pulled the plugs and all looked fine. All looked the same. Maybe a hair lean if anything. Tossed in a can of Berrymans with a full tank of E-free gas. Let the sorting begin. First ignition issue since I swapped over to Petronix in 2019.

Did you hear any unusual 'ticking' while it was misbehaving? I'd add some Rislone and drive another 100 miles before panicking...
