The Aqua Zephyr won a "Best Buick" trophy this weekend at the Spring Carolina Collector Auto Fest Car Show at the NC State Fairgrounds. We had a great time talking to everyone who came by to look at the car. We are humbled by all of the positive comments and love shown for "The Aqua Zephyr".

Gee, these two could tell some stories. My newest edition to my garage last week. Thought “Snowflake” was a little lonely so matched her up with “Black Beauty”.

Tis a 1938 Series 40 all enclosed coupe, 248cu in straight eight, with Australian designed and built body. Made only 43 in this body style in ‘38, so a bit unique. Hoping they both get along well given their pedigree!

Steve, that’s a nice pair too! My partner, (Jo) was quick to notice how tidy your garage is, I was quick to notice how much space you have. Gee, we view things differently, don’t we! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I met up with long time ROA member Bob E. and his beige 1965 Riviera GS at Hwy 55 restaurant in Hope Mills, NC. It was great getting to know another ROA member who lives very close to me.

Mr E's 65 Riviera is beige. It sports a black vinyl top, GS options and black vinyl interior. He recently had the dual carb 425 engine rebuilt.

Another white Riv, it looks like. That blue 68 os as sharp as usual.

Beige is cool! Gives it a sleeper look, especially with the vinyl top; love to see more pics.

Not sure if Mike took more pictures, I have a couple pics from when Bob joined us at the park a couple of years ago ...

It is a sharp Riv, I believe Bob was having engine problems at that time and was contemplating the rebuild. He has taken it to several ROA meets over the years I have known him too.

Sorry about that Mike, I guess I posted too quick. I should have known you had more pictures of Bob’s GS.

I note that Bob E.'s '65 Gran Sport is sitting rather 'low' in the rear.   I had the same problem with mine.  Years ago I was advised against replacing the springs as it wasn't clear that the H2 springs were being reproduced properly. So, to raise the rear a bit I installed spacers under the rear springs.  Worked very well to trim the ride height and that's how my car remains today.

My standard 65 sits about like this one does. Haven't decided whether to do something about it or not yet, but what kind and size of spacers did you use?

This 65 actually squats a little in the rear. Mr. E. told me he had new coil springs installed all around it a few years ago. He is not using any spacers or other suspension modifiers.

Very flattered when my nephew, Ryan asked if we would use my ‘63 Riviera as their wedding car. A friend, Grahame volunteered with his Diplomat blue ‘64 along with a 1929 DeSoto belonging to Thor.  After the ceremonies were over they were both so pleased, as not too many couples get to use Buick Rivieras as their wedding cars!
