  1. It’s a Ford ranger part, if I recall correctly. Yardley is at 1badriv.com
  2. Correct for ‘65 Riviera Gran Sport only, but looks great on any car.
  3. Mine is a bit of overkill. Deadens sound nicely but does make the trunk harder to close. Ain’t nobody getting out of there alive, but at least I won’t have to listen to the screams. Lol
  4. Try TA Performance in Arizona. I have their 2.5 inch exhaust with shorty headers for a great performance sound.
  5. I believe number 3 is the correct answer.
  6. Believe it or not our beautiful, hand-made, high-quality Rivieras came from the factory with a cheap cardboard package shelf. It’s inexpensive to replace it with the same but not very satisfying. I, and many others, prefer the much sturdier vinyl over fiberglass which may require some modification for the best fit, but is vastly superior and more appropriate for the car.
  7. Welcome! As mentioned, oldbuickparts.com and rockauto.com are helpful, also eBay. Study the rivowners.org pages and join ROA for more info and resources. We also have an official ROA Facebook group that is very active, plus a 1968-1969 Buick Riviera Facebook group
  8. Then it’s settled. ‘65 Gran Sport is the cats meow. Except for all the others...
  9. Black looks good in the snow. Have you tried doing a few burn outs?
  10. ‘70 GS on ROA Facebook group. Black with white buckets. Apparently needs a little work
  11. She told me about the restoration process on this one. No expense spared. Top dollar all the way.
  12. My step-father bought this ‘65 Riviera off the showroom floor. It was his baby. When he died 17 years ago, his son quickly flipped it for the cash. I never had a chance at it and haven’t seen it since.
  13. Yes. Do you know whether your dad’s was built before or after Labor Day ‘64?
  14. My black ‘65 is 494475H900614, only 19 units ahead of your dad’s. So, probably built on the same day.
  15. I think there was a gal on the ROA Facebook page seriously searching for a nice ‘96 a few weeks ago.
  16. Well, we all survived the tropical storm. No flooding issues this time.
  17. Making slow and steady progress on the boat tail.
  18. The boat tail is coming along nicely. Chrome is finally ready to be picked up.
  19. It’s undoubtedly the best mz on the planet. The car really deserved a more professional video production. Growing up in the studios and working on film crews in the ‘60s and ‘70s it’s painful for me to watch the amateurs who don’t do their homework ahead of time, have no script, and improvise as they go along using only ambient light and one handheld camera.
  20. Thanks, it’s cascade blue. The car came from the factory in triple blue. As much as it pains me, I am going to put a dark blue vinyl top on it so it will look factory fresh again.
  21. Visitation today was encouraging. The boat tail is looking good. Still waiting on the chrome.
