In my signature also, so at 12 collector cars right now. That's the highest it's been for a while, although a number of years ago (when I had free access to two 30x60 metal buildings) I had a high of 26 cars owned at one time. Plus a Suburban and Envoy for personal cars.

Antiques: 1939 Dodge Deluxe 4-Door Sedan (project), 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Sprint convertible (project to be our AACA show car) and a 1974 Mercedes Benz 450SL complete with both hard and soft tops (our driver for now).

Modern iron: 2002 PT Cruiser, 2004 Six Speed standard shift Dodge Quad-cab Diesel 4X4 Pick-up and 2006 Jeep Liberty Limited and last but not least 2002 35' Winnebago Adventurer RV.

We qualify as a "fleet" on our taxes and insurance.:D

More than enough but not as many as I would like. It seems as though I am in good company with that thought.

Seriously, we have the 1973 Olds, currently in front of the house with a for sale sign, the 1968Dodge Adventurer, and the 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Now, for the funny part.

Yesterday was a day off but as it was forty degrees with a howling wind I decided to hold off on putting gas in the Olds, something I have managed to put off for a couple of weeks as this car isn't driven very often and the gas guage needle still moved. This morning I went out to warm up the Dodge and the front tire was half flat (lots of construction down the street which equals nails), a reminder that putting off the repair of the spare on Christmas eve really wasn't a very good idea.

So, as the wife needed the Jeep, I savored the delightful brisk morning air with a bicycle ride to work. This isn't as bad as it sounds since I live in Arizona, I do this several times a week, and it is only 2.5 miles to work.

As long as my wife doesn't read this......

While they do not count as cars, my 5 Studebaker horse drawns ARE vehicles (2 board farm wagon, side spring wagon and 3 buggies).

As far as vehicles:

1947 Studebaker M-5 pickup

1948 Studebaker M-16 grain truck

1964 Studebaker 8E-28 trailer toter

My "modern" vehicles:

1985 International S-1600 flatbed

1989 International S-1600 rollback

1992 Ford F-350 4x4 pickup

1996 Ford F-350 bucket truck

1999 Ford Windstar (wife's daily driver)

2002 Ford Explorer (my daily driver)

1992 Yamaha 400 4 wheeler

Needless to say, I am my insurance agent's largest personal lines customer

PLUS:

Ten farm and industrial tractors/crawlers (Oliver & Cockshutt), 4 John Deere lawn tractors, 1 enclosed trailer, 2 flatbed trailers, one mountain bike and 2 Soapbox derby cars from my youth.

Did I mention that I have a Frick Sawmill with Detroit 4-71 power unit, 2 Frick threshing machines, a Turner peanut combine, a Meadows grist mill, many farm implements, parts, parts, junque, treasures, junk, stuff, more parts, castaways, etc, etc, etc....

(Do I get extra credit for all the big trucks I own?)

[EDIT] Seeing Roger's post about his 2006 Yamaha made me remember I have a 1992 Yamaha 400 4 wheeler that I have not ridden in 18 months. It is stored at yet another location along with all my firearms reloading items and some additional farm equipment.

How do you hide all that from her???????????:eek::D

I have the Windstar, Explorer, GT Hawk and my farm wagon here at the house. I just moved my F-350 3 weeks ago as I do not have it licensed at present (rear end trouble).

I have 2 horse drawns in my mother's garage and the remainder are divided between a piece of property I own and a friend's land closer to town where we have a large tractor show each year. Did I happen to mention the dozen chains saws I own....?

Mine too are listed in my signature, plus an 84 Chrysler T/C cobvertible, and technically I still own that 55 Buick Century until the new owner comes and takes possession of it.

I think for most of us it is called ADDICTION, but it is either Old cars, wild women, or booze. At least you know how your old call will react!!, dont wake up in the morning with a headache, or sorry that you tested her out.
