Thought “Snowflake” was a little lonely so matched her up with “Black Beauty”. Tis a 1938 Series 40 all enclosed coupe, 248cu in straight eight, with Australian designed and built body. Made only 43 in this body style in ‘38, so a bit unique. Hoping they both get along well given their pedigree! That’s a nice pair of playmates you have there, Rodney. rodneybeauchamp
Steve, that’s a nice pair too! My partner, (Jo) was quick to notice how tidy your garage is, I was quick to notice how much space you have. Gee, we view things differently, don’t we! ?????? NC1968Riviera
I met up with long time ROA member Bob E. and his beige 1965 Riviera GS at Hwy 55 restaurant in Hope Mills, NC. It was great getting to know another ROA member who lives very close to me. Mr E's 65 Riviera is beige. It sports a black vinyl top, GS options and black vinyl interior. He recently had the dual carb 425 engine rebuilt. Edited March 20, 2018 by NC68Riviera (see edit history)

Not sure if Mike took more pictures, I have a couple pics from when Bob joined us at the park a couple of years ago ... It is a sharp Riv, I believe Bob was having engine problems at that time and was contemplating the rebuild. He has taken it to several ROA meets over the years I have known him too.

65VerdeGS
I note that Bob E.'s '65 Gran Sport is sitting rather 'low' in the rear. I had the same problem with mine. Years ago I was advised against replacing the springs as it wasn't clear that the H2 springs were being reproduced properly. So, to raise the rear a bit I installed spacers under the rear springs. Worked very well to trim the ride height and that's how my car remains today.

Haven't decided whether to do something about it or not yet, but what kind and size of spacers did you use?

Mr. E. told me he had new coil springs installed all around it a few years ago. He is not using any spacers or other suspension modifiers.

rodneybeauchamp
Very flattered when my nephew, Ryan asked if we would use my ‘63 Riviera as their wedding car. A friend, Grahame volunteered with his Diplomat blue ‘64 along with a 1929 DeSoto belonging to Thor. After the ceremonies were over they were both so pleased, as not too many couples get to use Buick Rivieras as their wedding cars!

SB3
Here is a pic of my 65. Had it for over 10 years now. Very fun car to drive around town. Looking to put some "reverse" style Supremes on there next, if any of you have experience with reverse style wheels, any advice would be appreciated. Thx.
NC1968Riviera
Today The Aqua Zephyr had its first photo shoot of the year. She was very well behaved as I tried to capture her best sides. The dogwood trees and Wisteria vines are in full bloom in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I submitted some pictures from this shoot and an article for consideration in the "Buick Bugle".

Ed, I wanted to drive the Red Riviera to the meet. When I finish the meet I’m flying to Pensacola for in laws 60 th wedding anniversary. The Red Riviera could hopefully make the round trip from Baltimore, Kansas, Florida, and back to Baltimore. The driver I’m not sure would enjoy a long ride without company. Carliyle PA meet is less than 100 miles north of my home. I’ll be certain to drive up to the meet in October. Thank you for the compliment. The west coast gents in Southern CA would seem to be a great place to source some wheels. Major League custom shops I hear are all over in LA and LA, Orange County. demon452
I had some rust to repair around the back window so I decided to paint the top. It actually has blue ghost pearl so it does have a blue glow in the sun. I tried looking for ideas on how to do the top. I didn't want the complete 2 tone look which seems rather common. So I had swooped the back on the quarters. If that makes sense.

first64riv
I haven't posted a picture of my car but I guess it's about time...here it is. I was looking for something that I could still tinker on but I didn't want a complete project. I found this one in the CA desert and got it for a fair price. The paint isn't 100% my style but it is really clean. I lowered the rear and the front is sagging I think. I added the wheels and replaced the wide whitewalls with skinny whites. The engine is a 425 and I changed out the carburetor. An old Dixco tach was added to the dash and I got a new aftermarket side mirror. There is still so much more to do. I'm happy with it right now and I just need to enjoy cruising it. Edited April 17, 2018 by first64riv added info. (see edit history)
kreed
Thought I would post a few pics of my 65 GS project - started with a true barn find three years ago . Have been through two previous so called "experts " from which I had to pull the car - long story , lessons learned, dollars spent but finally have a great guy doing a nice job with ETA of about 3-4 months . Changed the color from verde green to burgundy with black custom interior to come . Will post more pics as they come available .
