Paul Dobbin
I flipped out when I saw this. Reminded me of a couple of old songs. Sort of a combination between "Up On The Roof" and "Under the Boardwalk".Just wait until Kieser31 gets here, he'll know. nzcarnerd
Whatever it is it is from around 1929. I think the disc wheels are possibly aftermarket. They were an option on many cars around that time.
Dave Mellor NJ
27 Nash has similar wheels, step plates and the tiny cowl light. Some differences in the body like the visor but the moldings are close.

nzcarnerd
It may be a 1927 Nash Advanced Six - Ambassador was a trim option that year I think. I had thought those earlier ones had very large visors but maybe that is only the lower price models. One thing that does not look right is the size of the wheels and tyres - they somehow look too small on the crashed car. An optical illusion maybe? Dave Henderson
Probably a '28 Nash Advanced Six. Last year with the small cowl lights. The visor may be there but is just not standing out.

Woodfiddler
Question: Many photos of the 1927 and 1928 Nash have 5 lug solid wheels. I have found only 2 photos with the 6 lug wheels. What distinguished 5 or 6? Was it the engine size, optional upgrade or are they aftermarket as suggested by nzcarnerd? My first guess was a 28 Chrysler. I missed the cowl light. Searching for input, thanks to all the years of knowledge and experience.Student Chuck from the second row in Kansas
