Well, I hope to repaint the 40, touch up paint my 64 Belvedere, finish installing the sun viser on the T, and start on the 64 Imperial. Sell my 1980 Fiat Spider (project/parts car) and my 1977 Lincoln (project/parts car)

I want to finish stripping my 64 Plymouth parts car and dispose of the hulk. If I have time, a complete restration on the 64 Fury will be started. I sure hope I don't buy any more cars. I have enough for now!!!!! grin.gifgrin.gif

Bob, sell your Fiat??? wink.gif

May want to post it at www.mirafiori.com, it's free. We have a lot of folks from VA on there.

My goals are to drive mine more (driving the pickup today, BTW), find more junkyards with old stuff, and save money to buy a building so I can buy/store more cars. cool.gif

My goal is to look for a [color:"red"] BIGGER [color:"black"]garage with house attached... cool.gif I am out of garage space, Too many old cars, tools and jacks for the garages I have now. My wife thinks my priorities for house shopping may not be be hers. She mentions things like kitchen layouts, numbers of bathrooms and bedrooms. I cant put more cars in any of these things. tongue.gif She asks if I can sleep in my garage or make dinner in the garage, What was I thinking!!! Oh well, Karl

Same goal as I've had since we bought the car. Get the Chandler back on the road. I have one wheel left to restore to get it back on four wheels. Next I need to finish the suspension and brakes. Cooling, electrical, and hopefully start the engine. I'll be working on it today and the rest of the weekend.

Get my new garage built! Santa brought me the "Ultimate Garages" book. It's has some great pictures and ideas for me to use. Having trouble converting the 1/2 million dollar garages to my measly income, though. Would like to do some restoration work on my '65 Corvette and of course get the '56 Chevy ready for the Sentimental Tour in Virginia this year. Earl says I have to replace those chrome wheels with originals or he won't let me register.

Attached is a picture of my garage site. I'm having problems positioning my garage/house on the land. Lots of open spaces down here, Bob! Wayne

2004 I will finish up the what's left of the Met's interior, add duel exhaust on the Invicta and spend more time at cruise nights this summer. I have some antique furniture to restore for the wife to keep her happy. I also like to do something with the garage floor....It got kind of messy from the bodywork & paint this past year......like I said, got to keep her happy!

R.W. Just saw the picture of your building site. Looks like you have just enough cleared land for the garage. Where is the house going to be? confused.gifconfused.gifconfused.gif

1937hd45, Living in town has a lot of good advantages, but adding more garage space is not what the building code people feel is good use of our yard. Maybe an addition to the house would make them happier, an eight foot door might not raise a flag... in the great room. I'll run that by the wife.

Steve, welcome aboard, Hope you can soon find a Garage with/house too!!! You met the rest of the family on Tuesday, my son and wife were at Headquarters working on Roberts High School project. I am sure I will be in some time this month. Ill will stop in to say hello. Karl

Karl, it was a pleasure meeting your family. What a fabulous project your son has undertaken! You must be very proud. I hope at some point you will post on this site about his project and where it is leading to, our members will really enjoy the culmination of his efforts.

Please do stop by, door is always open.

Actually Bob, I was standing and viewing ahead "through" the house site. The main road is to the right where you see the blue pick up. The garage will be to the left. The septic system is already in place... gotta keep ahead of Dave@Moon's ecology troops. You can't believe how many holes they punched in the ground to find a suitable septic site. On 10 acres open, you'd think you could put the darn thing anywhere. My grandma had her outhouse in the same yard as the well. It didn't hurt her or me....well, part of that statement is right. She passed on at 84. My posts are no fun without picking on Dave. Wayne

I would like to rebuild the brakes on the '28 and install a new rear plastic window in the '66 Fury Convertible. I have all the parts...I just have to get it done.

Re: 1937HD45

Yes, living in town has its distinct disadvantages.

I know of a collector in the Cleveland, OH area that solved his problenm with the local zoning officials. He bought the home across the street, removed room partitions, reinforced the floors, put up curtins over the windows, and moved his cars in.

All it took was $$$$.

i plan on rebuilding the waterpump, replacing the timing chain and gears, water distribution tube, and a valve job on my 52 packard. none of this is very bad but the water pump bearing makes noises at a idle, the timing chain is shot and you can hear it once in a while plus i have one valve that leaks a little "exhaust #5." just a matter of getting the parts together and spending the weekend on it.

This is the year I am going to get the 25 Indiana running. I am also going to get started on the paint work very soon so maybe it will be ready to drive to a show or two next year. I know the summer will be spent putting a new roof on the barns so I can't expect to much work to get done on the toys but right now is a good time to do what I can. The 68 Mustang is getting closer to paint time and should be out of the way by the end of this month. I never planned on doing that car but when I found it last month I saw one that could be done and driven in a very short time with almost just a paint job. Turns out the car is worthy of more so I went all out on it and am sandblasting the under sides and wheel wells clean so they can be painted and look nice.

My goal is simple, I want to own something that has paint on it and can be waxed!

I'm finally putting the finishing touches on the workspace in my (now 2 years new) garage. I hope by the end of the year to have finished disassembly of my TR6 and (hopefully) be near finishing the cosmetic restoration of the body.

Or have I said that for years now??? I lose track after a while. tongue.gifsmirk.gif

Hopefully by this spring the underside of the Amphicar will have its new coat of POR-15 installed. The prep work time has been unbelievable. Then install the new rear driveshafts, transmission seals and complete the list of small items.

The Corvette needs a new power valve in the carb and bleed the brakes along with a few other minor items.

Get the 55 out of the museum and change all the fluids, wash, wax, do some brake work and get it road worthy again.

In between all this work maintain a full time job and a wife who seems to be ok with the car stuff. I don't do any major projects in the summer as they are to short and we try to enjoy the vehicles. Wayne you are lucky that they are going to allow you a septic system as my friend has 150 acres and it test fine for a septic system however the new laws now mandate a sand mound system for 8K.

You guys wear me out just reading all your plans for 2004. I'm in my third year of retirement and still don't have any of my cars fully restored. I've had my new garage for five years and still don't have two steel tables refinished and installed as work benches. The place is so cluttered I can hardly move around. The Gear Start transmission that I rebuilt for my '54 Patrician sits on the bench waiting to be installed. I can't get the torque converter to mate up properly with the transmission housing. Should probably have not replaced all the bushings. Now I have a leaky headgasket on the '54 after detailing the engine compartment and accessories. Can't get the rebuilt WCFB Carter carb set up right. Have run out of gray primer surfacer so the right front fender sits on the floor waiting to be painted and installed. Am not happy with the dent removal and body filling that I did on it. Haven't touched the '40 Club Coupe or the '47 Custom in months. Now the brake lines need to be replaced on my Dakota pickup. I have them but don't remember how they were installed along the frame rail. Sigh mad.gif

After being down for a couple of years, our 1924 Ford Model T Roadster will be on the road again this touring season. This is perhaps my favorite car as it was my wedding present. My goal this summer is to learn how to drive it. Wish me luck - with 3 pedals and 2 hand controls (spark and throttle) I might be biting off more than I can chew.

Should finish up the A. It would be nice to have it finished by the Winter meet in Melbourne, FL in March, but that's not going to happen. I may take it anyway just for fun.

Gee, I don't feel so bad now after reading all about those unfinished "projects." Actually I hope to finish the MGBGT and do some detailing on the GTO so I can tour it a bit this season. Oops, just remembered, I wanted to finish stripping down the old wheels on the '15 T so I could send the iron stuff out to get respoked. Oh, and there is at least two years worth of additions to the spark plug collection that need to be cleaned up for display, and I've got an unfinished showcase that needs to be done to put those plugs into, and would you believe we are planning an addition to the garage because Im going looking for another Model A... gads this must be contagious or something!

My goal is pretty simple. Get the Buick fix up for a nice daily driver. Sell the Burban buy a Skylark coupe or GS or maybe even a GSX. Possibly even trade the Ford for a Nighthawk streetsweeper. The last ones really only wishfull thinking however.

Plans... well get the '30 Chrysler 77 Road Worthy... Get the interior and body work done on the Mk IX Jaguar Saloon, get the '74 Fiat Spider road worthy... start work on the other Mk IX Jaguar Saloon, Start work on the '82 Fiat Spider, take care of some body work on the '89 Suburban, take care of some body work on the '91 Olds Cutluss Supreme International, rebuild the engine in the '81 Mustang LX as well as address some rust issues on it, get started on the body work on the '84 Volvo 244DL... replace the main seal on the '89 Toyota Camry... attack the rust along the drip rails on the '92 Dodge Grand Caravan... Address the 'Knock' in my mothers '94 Saturn (with all of 15,000 miles on it)... finish reworking the garage... hopefully find a place in Tennessee to start work on a new garage (and eventually a house to go with the garage)... and the list goes on... and on...

Hey Hal, Bring your car on down to Melbourne, we'd love to have you! You'll find me in the Youth/Junior Program tent (well tent assuming I manage to get one) most of the day. The Chrysler 77 Will be there no matter what state it is in, was hoping to have the Mk IX Saloon there, but I just don't see how I can get the interior and the body work done in time. The '74 Fiat spider's engine rebuild should be done by then, but not sure it will be roadworthy or not. Time will tell...
