2023 Boca Raton Concours

All,

Was contacted by Boca Raton Concours folks about showing one of my Kissels at the 2023 Show. Insofar as we have a daughter and her family who live a few miles away at Boynton Beach, we agreed to submit our 1921 Kissel Model 6-45 Sport Tourster. It’s an ORIGINAL Kissel car with 14,700 miles and was a true gangster car from Chicago. And it drives like a big old beast.
   See you all there !

Ron…….I expect you to visit me when you come down. I would like to return the favor. I’m about 18 miles away from Boynton Beach.

Ron,

Likewise, I was asked to bring my 1947 Jaguar to the Boca Concours.  I submitted the application a couple of weeks ago.  See you there.  But first there is the Ponte Verde Show this weekend, Gasparilla Tour & Concours, Palm Beach LeGrande Tour & Concours, FL CCCA Mystery Tour, AACA Winter Nats in Miami, McKee Botanical Gardens Annual Exhibition in Vero Beach, as well as several other venues.  Then the following week, Amelia Island.

All - The Boca Raton Adventure begins!
Had the 1921 Kissel Sport Touring professionally detailed today. It shined up very nice!

Will load the car on to a semi car hauler tomorrow morning for its trek from cold Michigan to Sunny Boca !

Will catch up to the car in Florida next week and unload it a couple days before show.

        Here are pictures today.

Ron, just love that Kissel - looks so great with the side curtains at the rear of the top , with the "port holes" as well, and the wind wings are perfect.

thanks for sharing these "preparation" photos. All my very best.

Good luck with that! But realize Ed, so I have been told, is just so bashful.............

Ron, I will be there as I got a special request to help keep Ed in line!  Rumor has it though you might see me around your class....clean extra hard! :)  Great group of cars....

Please bring an ample supply of Crown Royal. I'm much easier to take if all of us are snookered.

PS- I take it on the rocks.

You'e a pup. A freshman. Maybe a little teeny bit of water to enhance the flavor, but it's best "neat".

A new first for me...........as a professional "swiller" of fine rye...........I have never been called a novice.

First time for everything, I guess, but I question you being a professional with the gawdaful way in which you treat such fine distilleries.

All - Adventure continues.!

Car arrived in Boca and has been staged on the show field at the Boca Raton resort. Very very hot and humid compared to Michigan, but car loves driving hot. Here are staging pictures. She’s first one in her class to make the field.

Sounds a bit wussy to me. Kinda like James Bond being a novice drinker wanting it “shaken, not stirred!” Guess he likes it watered down also! 🤣

Lots of fun at the show yesterday.  Great display of cars. It was fun to visit with many members here. Ron's car was right next to us. Enjoy the photos........you can see Ron's car in the background of the roadster.

Have a friend who showed his 21 National yesterday. They liked it and did well too.   They will be here on the west coast in an hour or so, sure we will hear a lot about yesterday!

His car was directly next to mine I think. That National next to me was stunning and rare.
