Walt G
Is this a real car made when the chassis was new or a later "modification" . Only thing that seems a bit awkward in styling is the top of the seat cushion, more appropriate for a school bus, and the gold trim.

alsancle
I don’t like it. It is very hard for modern interpretations to look right. 1
bryankazmer
Inspired by some Figoni& Falaschi and Saoutchick stuff. To be picky, Streamline Moderne rather than Art Deco. The gold is definitely a bit much.
Paul Dobbin
Probably cause a lot of attention at any Cruse-In, especially if driven by someone with gold teeth. But I like it anyway.
CHuDWah
I don't hate the car but the top of the seat looks like the they didn't know what to do with it, should have looked at other roadsters for inspiration - also the brown color doesn't go with the rest of the car's color scheme. I don't like the fender lights sticking straight up, doesn't go with the streamlined look. The gold is a bit ostentatious but it is a sporty Cadillac after all, although the scallops(?) on the fenders are too much.
Terry Harper
With those over blown fenders it somehow reminds me of one of those floor duster, barky, yappy things.

At which, "I understand" they played an actual big league game recently. Maybe this was part of that extravaganza in some way? 🤔
58L-Y8
Its a mish-mash of badly out-of-context design elements.

mike6024
I was trying to find some info on it and could not. Who owns it, who built it, and why? Just more pictures.

Graham Man
1937 Cadillac V16, must be a story behind this one? It looks much more period correct apparently built in 1937 in Europe, Body by Carrosserie Heartman
bryankazmer
It's Hartmann, a Swiss bodybuilder. Originally built for a man named Barraud, long history and has been sometimes misrepresented as by Figoni & Falaschi
60FlatTop
Critiques on design or style that are taken outside of the original context are not usually very good. Like looking through the wavy, pressed glass of my house's 1853 windows.
