Hi Guys, anyone have any pictures of the Chrysler Display at the 1933-34 Chicago Worlds Fair? Really looking for some interior shots of the building. Also, more interested in the 34 Chrysler Display featuring Chrysler and DeSoto Airflow cars. Also, any pics from the GM building featuring 34 LaSalle's. Thanks to everyone who has posted "period" Pre WWII pics !!!! Jim Fredrick in Minn.

My father and one of his race cars at his Manhasset, LI service station. He raced from 28-32. He spoke of a Miller Ford and the other I remember was one with a v8 Hisso airplane engine converted to 4 cylinders. Not sure which one this is.

The 1934 LeBaron Airflow is alive and well in the mid west, and owned by a member that occasionally posts on this forum.

From The Henry Ford - Please make a note of it - Henry Ford standing with a Packard (to be exact a 1935 Packard Super Eight Formal Sedan)

So how do we know it's a 1935 and not a 1936 Packard?

This is a great thread with lots of neat photos.  To add to the fun here is a photo of 1913 American Underslung Type 32 roadster.  This was the midsized car in the American lineup in 1913.  It had 37 inch wheels and used a 30 Teetor Hartley engine for power.  They shared a chassis with the Type 34 American Tourist.  No roadsters still exist but there are several Tourists in existence.

The building in the background is interesting.  I have another photo of a new American that has that building in the background. According to Google there is park near the site of the American factory in Indianapolis that has a building called the Pagoda but it is not exactly like the building in the old photo.  Maybe someone familiar with Indianapolis knows more about the setting.

To edinmass

Love the Stutz RA with mask in your ID picture. Good to see that responsible Stutz owners are taking COVID-19 seriously.

The David Gillies family of Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada were a very well-to-do clan that made a fortune in lumbering.  Here is a smattering of photographs that show their evolving tastes in early automobiles:

 A 1911 Ford,

Then a 1912 Reo with unusual tire tread (obviously the family favourite- the "Gibson Girl"  behind the wheel in more than a few images is David Sr.'s daughter Elsie)

then a 1914 Packard.

All  of them posing  together for a wash!

Interesting composure of an ad for the British '14 Vulcan.  The bulldog is featured surmounting the British flag.  From a point of view of heraldry, nothing should be surmounting the national colors, albeit in black and white.  Not failing to mention the Ebenezer Scroog looking chap surmounting the flag at left.  The real question is, how long has the bulldog represented the English national character?
