Clever license plates

I really appreciate clever license plates. Our personalized plates are mundane "Fun for G" and "Fun 4 B" but my FIL had a very strange sense of humor.

His name was Nathan and everyone called him Nick. It was his 48th birthday. The "birthday" plates were on his car for a full year when a Georgia state trooper came to his house and confiscated them.

Please post clever license plates.

Best one I remember was a new Jaguar and it had the plate:

Paw-Purr

But you have to sound it out and realize the price of a new Jag to really appreciate that the humor was on two levels.

Now, why in the world would the GSP want to confiscate his tag????? LOL

I was looking at the front of my '51 Buick one day and the perfect personalized plate came to mind since she looks to me like she's smileing....

I had <span style="font-weight: bold">"I8JAPAN"</span> on my 76 Olds Ninety Eight for many years until it became eligible for antique plates. Great big Godzilla car... (Gojira in Japanese) somebody already had "I8TOKYO"

Had "KBRTBL" on a 73 Delta 88 ragtop. A friend was drunk and said "let's go riding in the kaburtabul with the top down" (It was about 40 degrees <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />.)

Bravada has- what else?- <span style="font-weight: bold">"RKTRDR"</span>!

My Dad taught Math at Duke University. His everyday car was a 1967 El Camino. When he retired and he and Mom started to travel in a camper he bought the following plates -

for the El Camino - MATH

for the camper - AFTERMATH

My father and I were VERY active in Boy Scouting. The plates on the suburban that hauled the kids around said "BSATAXI"

For a long time our state was limited to 6 characters on plates. They just recently have started with 7. Thus:

Friend who was a car salesman - EZMONY

Had on my convertible before eligible for antique plates - TOPLES

(the district judge & senator that were riding in the car during a parade asked me what that meant)

I have two plates that draw comments:

On a 1966 Volkswagen, a German Tag, 66 VW BUG. The comment, "What year is it?"

On a 1935 Buick, XXXV This one illustrates what's not being taught in schools anymore. I get questioned by the drooling masses about it being an "X rated car". Even when I ask how they identify Super Bowl games I get blank stares, so I just say: "yea, it's X Triple X rated". I guess calling them personalized plates is a good description.

There's a Metropolitan on ebay now and the California plate reads URUGLY2. I thought that to be quite clever...........

We used to have alot of good plates here in RI untill one of our greedy governors raised the fees to $60.00 /year. But the kicker was, he wanted two years in advance. That ended the so-called vanity plates here. Now you see very few.......... frown.gif
