plymouthcranbrook
This very well might be one of those times where free is not too much to pay.
Joe Cocuzza
If it was closer I would have gotten it already. Too bad....or maybe thank goodness.....Like I need another one
DrumBob
I sent the seller a message asking if the car was really free. I could always have it towed up to NJ. Seller never replied. Steve_Mack_CT
I have seen more than a couple of fb marketplace headings stating "free" when in fact that is not the case. Assume a price of some sort. Thst said it looks decent/worth saving if it is inexpensive enough.
TAKerry
Dont know the guy, but looked at his profile, I went to school with some of his 'friends'. Elkton is a hop, skip and a jump.
John Bloom
Free might just be the seller’s unrealistic opening price. With shrewd negotiating maybe you get it down to “give me the car and 5K”.
Bloo
It doesn't look that bad to me, although it would be too much for me to take on now (never mind that it's in MD). It's better than a lot of project cars that get posted on here that should be free. I really like these P-15 4 door sedans. I'll have one someday.... JamesR
If there's very little rust as stated, it certainly is the best deal you could expect. Only Laughing Coyote's nice early '70's Corvette has been a better deal than this. My guess is it's been snapped up by a hot rodder by now. Because how could a 4 door '40's Plymouth not look good with lake pipes, Cragars and captain's chair bucket seats?

DFeeney
The seller is using the term "Fast Back". Isn't this car a regular 4dr sedan. Plymouth did offer a "Fast Back" but I remember they were a few years later.
The 55er
It's a standard 1948 Plymouth sedan to most people, only the seller is calling it a fastback.
Bloo
I probably wouldn't have said that as there was only one type of P-15 4 door sedan, but in my mind, it's not wrong considering the body has a lot of slope in the back and there is no trunk bump. Lahti35
More seller shenanigans run amok! I swear, sometimes I think all you'd have to do is put a tent over a car and you'd have a 3 ring circus.😀 1

The 55er
So stop wasting everyone's time, put the car back together as best you can, pull it outside in the driveway and put a big orange "FOR SALE $1500 obo" sign in the window and maybe then someone will tow it away.

Sal Hepatica
I see many "Free" car parts ads on Facebook that are, in reality, come-on clickbait. The actual price is in the ad copy.
Bryan G
I honestly believe some of them just didn't want to stick in a price, or maybe forgot to, and didn't realize it would thus be listed as "free". But, yes, some are playing games. I don't get the feeling this seller meant any harm. I'd seen this ad when it was listed that way and I knew what was going on; I didn't think for one second it was free.
