m-mman
The late 1970s, You are stuck building "old man's" cars and you want them to have a youthful appeal. You don't have a budget for styling changes. I guess this is what you end up with.
George Smolinski
I'm tempted to buy it for a few reasons. I had a 1973 Electra 4 door hardtop; probably the best riding car I ever owned. The thing just floated on the highway. I'd like another. This one is super low mileage & the interior would certainly get lots of looks at a show or cruise.
deaddds
So that is a stock interior right? I can’t imagine with that low miles it would need an interior or that would be chosen if it did. Elvis HAD to have owned this. Steve_Mack_CT
This could be one of those situations where pics look one way, and it seems a little more toned down in person. Cannot say I have ever seen an interior like this though, on any 70s GM car. Edited October 1, 2021 by Steve_Mack_CT (see edit history)
Bloo
I vaguely remember seeing cloth about like that in Buicks in the 70s. I think it's real. There must be a 70s Buick enthusiast in here who knows for sure.

Bloo
Airbags for crash protection were an option on some GM cars in the early 70s. Very few had it. Edited October 1, 2021 by Bloo (see edit history)

avgwarhawk
So, with the discovery of the air bag in this advertised Buick(a costly option probably) I can understand the interior fall foliage pattern probably as special ordered. As many cars as I have worked on in my 11 years at Goodyear I have never seen this pattern. George Smolinski
We were talking apples & oranges. I was talking air suspension & you were talking the kind that blow up in your face.

One can tell by the large central portion of the wheel. Good observation, Mr. Tatra. They were very rare in this era. George, if this car appeals to you, the rarity of the air bags provides an extra item to talk about at shows.

B Jake Moran
Yes that is a stock interior seat pattern and is actually a base interior option. I have seen it many times in Electras
Jim Skelly
The air bag option was available on '74-'76 Toronado, Riviera, Eldorado and the "B" and "C" big models of Olds, Buick and Cadillac.
