  2. You probably need to clean the contacts at the bottom of the steering column. If that doesn't work, check the bulb contacts too.
  3. I have a 1931 Model 67. Is that the same as yours?
  4. Drove the 24 Buick PU from the Buick Barn to the home shop yesterday. It needs some cleaning and polish before this Saturday for an invitation only event. Hemmings is doing an article with photos of local car collectors involved with CarBuff Network.com.
  5. Roger, You left out the rest of my suggestion. If he coats all the wetted parts after soldering, there will be no more corrosion to create new pin holes.
  6. Solder or weld the pin holes and the detached parts of the diffuser. Then coat all the wetted parts to prevent further corrosion.
  7. Probably a code for the gear ratio used for a specific model car or truck.
  8. He also said he had spark. So if he has both spark and fuel, it must be a timing issue.
  9. If that is the case, the engine will pull via the exhaust and the carburetor. Depending on the size of the holes, the carburetor may not have enough vacuum to atomize fuel.
  10. Have you checked for holes in the heat riser tube?
  11. Another Buick owner who tours with a BB1 carburetor.
  12. I have this Buick hood with latches and sill plates.
  13. Doug, 2 hours East puts you close to the Tri-Cities. I am the guy in Vancouver. We occasionally drive to Spokane to visit my son, so please send me a PM with your address so I can stop by to help if needed. I still have lots of parts you might need because I too have a 1924 Master series Buick & lots of spares that you might need.
  14. It was scanned in at Portland, but never made it out of St. Louis.
  15. Mike, I am in Vancouver WA and would be glad to take those parts. Please email photos so I can see if I need to bring a trailer. Thanks, durcodude@comcast.net
  16. Plushweave Premium Cotton Flannel Car Cover | Dust Stop Soft Indoor Custom Fit Car Covers | Best Soft Car Cover Fabric for Sale (calcarcover.com) This is what I have.....
  17. Not long ago, I shipped a valuable car part via USPS Priority from WA to IL. It was lost, no tracking info, and they refused to pay the full insurance coverage I paid for. I no longer use USPS. Have others had this problem with USPS?
  18. Patrick, Please post a photo or dimensions so I can see if the one I have will work.
  19. Josef, I have this Buick water pump, but cannot tell from your photo if it is the same as yours.
  20. If you look at the changes Ford made to their 1916 vehicles, you will see that Ford removed the brass trim from their lights and also eliminated their brass radiator surrounds in August of 1916. The HCCA refers to pre-1916 vehicles as "the brass era". Since Ford had removed most of the brass from their vehicles 1916 and was by then the dominant producer, I think the HCCA wanted to prevent all those black Model T Ford owners from dominating the club.
  21. Most gages have a U shaped bracket attached to the back of the gage. The legs of the U mount just outside of the hole in the dash.
  22. It only takes two hole punches to make one.... I have a cheap set from Harbor Freight that works fine for making gaskets etc.
  23. The clutch may only be stuck and not in need of adjustment. It is good practice to keep the clutch pedal depressed when in storage. I suggest you put it in gear with the clutch pedal depressed and rock the car to see if it will break loose. You may need some friends to help....
