  1. John, Since we are an internet based group, our biggest challenge will be to reach those who do not use the internet. Dave Ebert is our membership chairman. He will be glad to email applications that you can print out and hand out at local meets, tours, etc. contact Dave at dle38@comcast.net Thanks, Mark Shaw Vancouver, WA
  2. I was very pleased to hear that our new division has been unanimously approved by the BCA board at the Batavia NY meet. I look forward to working within the existing BCA chapters to increase membership and participation of prewar Buick owners. Now we must secure regional directors to help co-ordinate Pre War Division activities. Each regional director will work with the BCA chapters in their area of the country to identify members and non-members with prewar Buicks and encourage them to join in BCA activities. We already have a candidate from the Yankee Chapter, but we need more regional directors to help us cover the entire US and Canada. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in becoming a regional director. Thank you, Mark Shaw Director BCA Pre War Division durcodude@comcast.net
  3. Unfortunately, Jack Gerstkemper will not be able to attend this year's meet in NY. He has a scheduling conflict with a business trip that cannot be resolved. So, I am requesting anyone in the Pre-War Division who attends the meet to please advise the rest of us how the board meeting goes with regard to the final approval of our new division. Although I am sure one of the board members will advise us of the outcome; I am interested in an opinion from one of our members. Once we are officially recognized by the BCA board, we will begin the process of recruiting regional directors to help us co-ordinate Pre-War Buick activities. Anyone interested in becoming a regional director, should contact Jack or me. Thanks, Mark Shaw durcodude@comcast.net
  4. John, You're right, very few have responded to the original question. I currently have a 1913 Model 31 Buick touring, a 1915 Model C25 speedster project car, & a 1931 Model 57 sedan with side mount. I gave my son a 1929 Model 27 sedan with side mount for his college graduation gift last summer. Mark Shaw
  5. Bruce, Contact Butch McNamer in Vacaville, CA. bdmcnam@aol.com He is a 27 Buick nut with lots of parts. Mark Shaw
  6. John, Unfortunately I will not make it, but Jack Gerstemper will be at the Batavia meet. He won't be hard to find (he almost grew up in the BCA) so I suggest you look for him to discuss plans for your region. I expect that we will need to establish enough members to justify and/or dilineate each region to include several local chapters. Please discuss this with Jack so we have an idea about how much territory you want to include. The deadline for charter member signatures is June 15th. Please email a scan of any additional signatures you get to Dave Ebert on or before June 15th. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Mark Shaw
  7. Welcome to the Pre-War Buick Forum! We hope to use this forum to expand participation of prewar Buick owners and their cars in BCA by providing additional activities specifically designed for older vehicles. After formal board approval as a new division of BCA at the Batavia N.Y. meet in July, we will begin to evaluate candidates for regional directors to help us provide additional activities for Pre-War Buick Dividion members. Please let us know if you are interested. Welcome aboard! Mark Shaw
