Wowabunga
PENDING Saturday Pickup at my home GILBARCO Double Pumper Model 924 Can someone confirm this is a 924 model…? How rare is it..? I’ve had this in dry storage for 20 years. When obtained it was missing the computers and faces. My plan was to source the missing parts or I was planning to fabricate faceplates with vinyl graphics over a metal plate. I’ve never posted photos nor have asked questions before… are faceplates difficult to source for this model..? The heavy cast base was broken in 2 spots and they have been welded and look great. I’m no expert by any means but I have stripped out a few single pumps and looks like most of the hardware for the frame and the outer skin are all here. The pitting on the chrome is mild. 3 of the 4 glass bulbs are intact. The rubber gaskets are surprisingly pliable and should be able to reuse. One big dent on the top hood cover that will easily pop out with some body work magic. No metal rot anywhere. I’m taking this to Hershey ( Space GCE45 ) and hope to find a new home for it. I live 40 minutes south of Carlisle PA. Is asking $600 a good place to start…? roadster pickup
I will be bringing five good used (slight surface rust will need sandblasting or other cleaning) wire wheels for 1934-35 standard model (will also fit 1936) Chevrolet. These are 5-lug, 17 inch. Also five new reproduced wire wheel hubcaps in the boxes for these wheels (no longer reproduced or available through vendors like The Filling Station, Chev of the 1940s). Asking $725.00 for the lot [$95.00 per hubcap (total $475) and $60.00 per wheel ($300)] I will have these at Hershey on October 9-11 (Tuesday - Friday). Unfortunately, I do not have the vendor space number (it is on a friends' site). But is it almost directly behind the bathrooms and in the Orange Field near Coker Tire. I will have my phone number posted at the site - we may be out looking around the meet from time to time and will return quickly if you call. If do not sell at the meet ,these could be purchased if the buyer arranges shipping. I will take pictures later and post if do not sell at Hershey. My apologies for not having pictures at present. Will also have other 1930's Chevrolet and other pre-war car parts, old tools, other miscellaneous old stuff there. If you have any questions, 276-206-0030 Thanks!
