What a beautiful color and car! And as someone who's maybe not into the later 60's car as much, those Rivieras were just cool looking!  Looks great

Thank you for the compliment! The color is so eye catching you can't help but look at it. Who says red is the most noticeable color?

Topped off all fluid levels then went for gas.

Blew out the cob webs and drove her home to pull out the Limited on a rope being by myself.

Can't wait to someday be driving the Limited too...

Adjusted brakes, valves & lubed before moving the 13 Buick Touring car out to the street in front of the house.  Left it running to close the shop door and it ran out of gas.  Had to clear the plugged fuel line (all the crud collected in the line when it ran out of gas) before driving three miles to get it filled with real gas (no ethanol).  Still need to make final adjustments to the brakes so she is ready for the Yosemite tour next month.

Was lucky to see the sunshine here, and get the '56 out for a 20 mile drive, and, naturally, a few pictures..

Looks like a nice day there John but surprised to see you have so much snow still on the ground.

Ours is all but gone (for now) and Sunday is supposed to be up near 50 so...

My turn to fire up the Special.

It's been freaking cold here Dei.  30's during the day.  Teens at night.  And there were two nor easter's here since the beginning of March.  It hasn't warmed up enough to melt it much. But got the '56 out again today.  Went to Church and then ran it about 35 miles total.  Each mile better than the one before it.

Brought the Special home for a bit of needed winter storage cleaning. It was 58 degrees today!

A friend stopped by with his Riv and as I was finished we decided to go across the City to another mutual friends who happened to be out washing his cars after just getting home from work at Chryslers.

It looked like the Special was asking if the Caddy could come out to play?

Fairly cold for mid March here in Toronto as well, John. I had the '41 out for a short cruise today. She was pretty grumpy for a while at first, then settled down and drove nicely. Less than 10 miles, so not much of a run, but bright and sunny, though a bit chilly.

 No pictures though.

I drove 2 Buicks this weekend.  The easier to access 1960 Electra. (performed a transmission service last weekend. Put her through her paces).   Then drove the 54 Special for 15 miles.  Let her stretch her legs.  She is driven much less as the 60 is simply easier to pull out of the garage without musical cars I perform with the daily drivers in the driveway.

We're having some very nice spring weather in Portland--in the 60s during the day.  I washed the winter spatters off of the 39 Roadmaster the Sunday before last.  I've been driving it quite a bit this winter because of mild weather, including this past Sunday. Spring has officially arrived!

I took the '41 Roadmaster out for a half hour cruise tonight. As before she was pretty grumpy, but after it got well warmed up it ran very nicely.

It was a rather warm (91F) and humid autumn/fall day here. Did an 80 mile round trip to the Nostalgia Festival in a town called Kurri Kurri (there are lots of towns in Australia with a similar double name) in the Hunter Valley wine region. There were at least 300 cars. stall and other activities . Thought I would share a few photos with those that remain house bound by snow. Also threw in some random Aussie cars for interest.

Next post should be from the Australia Buick pre-war run in April

Till then

I had the '41 Roadmaster out for a nice drive yesterday (Sun). About 20 + miles of city and highway driving. Cool, but sunny, and the heater works well!

It was a nice sunny day today here in Toronto, though only a few degrees above freezing, but I gave the '41 a quick wash with pails of warm water, to get the winter's worth of dust off of it.

I didn't want to turn on the outside water just yet, as below freezing weather is forecast in the near future, then took the car for a nice drive. I didn't check the mileage before I left, but it would be around 30 to 35 miles or so of mixed roads, city, highway, and country. I had it up to highway traffic stream speeds for a while, and it pulled strong throughout. The only small issue seemed to be a bit of a flat spot just off of idle, but not too serious. Otherwise it felt like I could just keep going for hours, but had to come home to assist with cooking dinner.

Near home, I stopped at a park for a quick photo.

 Happy Easter to all.

 Keith
