Definitely a 1940 Buick convertible, well accessorized with bumper tips & guards and Driving Lights (bet he has an exhaust deflector too, and a "Necker's Knob")- The guy is wearing white shoes, and the gal is in a classy white linen dress a Chevy guy would likely be well dressed also, but maybe a bit less so? 1

I stand corrected. Having toured to both Mt Washington, as well as Mackinac multiple times on AACA and VMCCA tours, I mixed them up - Two grand old hotels, and many thanks to those who graciously noted my error Edited January 25, 2021 by Marty Roth (see edit history)

Similar construction to the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, but seems reversed. This is an old photo of the Mt. Yes, some strings had to be pulled. No vehicles are permitted on the island.
RivNut
No vehicles unless you consider bicycles and horse drawn carts/wagons. (There is an ambulance and a fire engine.) I've been there a few times, well worth the trip. The Grand Hotel is so popular, you have to pay to even get on the property to take a picture.
