  1. Nice Color...official Buick maroon lol Obviously as stated amateur's paint job, I think the front end got a whack if you notice the hood alignment and the grill lines, which should be even. Fan shroud bottom has a cutout in it, maybe from the whack or for some reason If I were there I would investigate the radiator (looks end of life)...recore=800 These are distractions, not major deductions...EVERY car has some scars/imperfections/stories. Even a concourse car has some defect. Some upgrades/liberties: Valve covers underhood soundproofing "straps" whacky rear end add ons later model buick wheels I guess if you like it and think the price is fair...go for it depends on your urgency, you can do better, yoj can do worse.... Steve...good luck
  2. You are infatuated with your new car...AWESOME!!
  3. They will send you this hose as below. Maybe not Made in USA Irregardless, the metric hose will work if it doesn't fall off or leak it on either sidewill do the job. We are talking .0001s of an inch.. I think I need to stay off the computer for a while.. Steve
  4. I would talk/ email the owner a lot pictures etc.. if that phase panned out I would pay a nonconflicted 3rd party to go see the car/drive if possible. Gonna cost 250-400 bucks. They will give you the unglorified version with lots of pictures. In the end, nobody is as careful with my money as I am, As always, buyer beware. Other than their beautiful looks these cars are not monumentally different from any other collectible car out there. No big secrets. How have you been in the hobby all this time with 30s/40s cars and not noticed a Riviera LOL.
  5. You should of taken pictures of that one!
  6. Years ago on the old ROA internet blog (prior to this web site) there were more than a few mentions of late 63/early 64 nailheads that appeared to be painted in blue from the factory. If I find time I may research ...if I can even remember the exact website address...Steve9239
  7. Trade him for the buick opel you keep crying about
  8. AND Gene knows the right questions to ask so you get the right part, he knows the cars, not just the parts.
  9. The correct answer is fill the car with gas and throw a weekend bag in the trunk cuz this car don't need a thing but a new driver! LOL
  10. All those and exhaust/brakes condition etc My big question is: Is you had $5000 to spend on the car, what would you do? The truth slips out...
  11. If I were in Rulers shoes, and it is indeed rust free, I would spend a few thousand on a mechanical reconditioning..tires/brakes/hoses/fuel etc. Drive it around for a year or so THEN decide if I like the car enough to pour real money into i ast body and paint is where the wallet opens wide. If it weren't my cup of tea I could recoup my money and go on to the next low mile original LOL
  12. Other than a few creations looks like a nice original..
  13. Similar to Tom above, I take the passenger side route, been working for me on a number of cars. This is a 64, the heater valve is long gone, hence my manual valve near the fuel filter Hope this is of some help:
  14. Zinc coated steel (kind of a flat grey/galvanized effect)
  15. T keiser: All of the above may apply if you have a car with A/C and a fuel return line (have not seen it menmtioned)... if that's not the case you have other issues than riviera rattle, if so, it's prob the answer.. Steve
  16. Felix, if you are in Mass you can file an affadavit of correction that needs to be notarized and sent to the registry. If you are not in Mass you likely have a bit of a process getting the correction made. It's all right here: RMV forms and applications | Mass.gov
  17. Storm coming tomorrow, last hurrah today... barring aliens landing will be at it again next year God willing.
