  1. They are generic across the GM line. Ithink this is the reason for the separation: Old spark plug wires weren't well shielded and could cause misfire. The separation was for sequentially firing adjacent cylinder wires 18436572.... 5 and 7 keep them apart 12784563.... 3 and 1 " "
  2. I wouldn't use it, I don't know that I would get rid of it either..interesting conversation piece and automobilia artifact, certainly isn't bothering anybody. Kind of like buying a house with a Virgin Mary out front... Steve Dennis can you take off the air cleaner cover and take a pictureso we can see what's under the hood?
  3. I need to know how much influence the decibel level of the crowd has on the outcome of the game before I buy tickets.
  4. "What a game, the Steelers came back and won 20-16 against Jacksonville!" "Really? How fast does the fullback run in the 40 yard dash?"
  5. It's more akin to saying "Bartender, that's a great tasting martini, exactly what is the percentage of alcohol in it, and what is the cubic area of the olive in centimeters?" LOL
  6. Nope don't want either, the one I have works just right for me. I like that vague steering, gives me something to do besides wondering how many balls he puts to the worm or if it's 1lb ft or 1.5 lb ft effort plus or minus at the steering wheel. Lingenfelter takes stock engines and puts them through their shop adding more hp and torgue while running pump gas all while coming with a warranty. If I want to take it apart and see how they ported/polished and what style pistons they used etc to see how they achieved their advertised numbers...Well, that's ON ME. A guy is selling a steering box that requires less arm swing to negotiate around a corner...do you want one? Sounds like they are going for around 400 bucks. Steve
  7. The details: 2.5 turns lock to lock How he gets there: Nunya. (none of your or my business)...call it Proprietory Software. Secret Recipe. Ancient Chinese Secret. That's why he's allowed to sell in and make a profit. HE"S the one that fggured it out... No disrespect..Steve
  8. Tom should offer Kongaman a 30 day money back guarantee to end the misery
  9. All well and good.. so now I now have a 10 inch Idler/pitman arm (yeah, baby)...what do I hook it up to? gonna require a little or really a lot of custom mods to make that happen.
  10. TOM M Plz put my request on backburner I will go to napa tomorrow if a MADE IN USA replacement is available I willgothat route. Lost wipers, blower motor, radio, turn signals this AM
  11. RBR It sounds so petty, but one of the true joys in this life is these cars!
  12. Tom: NOS 64 Ignition switch I believe #1116650 (plz correct if wrong) Got one? Steve
  13. I just tape off the big areas and spray the pockets the wipe off the polished areas/raised edges with lacquer thinner. The hard part is getting good covers in the first place
  14. Between the two of them the silver has more appeal in my eye, that robins egg blue not for me no matter what's under the hood...hope the pinstripes are stick-on, both are drivers..Maybe I'm out to lunch what these cars sell for but the silver car has it's first digit off by a notch and even then I think would be asking all the money and then s ome. That dutch oven spray under the trunk liner makes me wonder , There's always a surprise after it arrives... Radiator, suspension...Something$$$...going to take some doing to get the engine area sorted out , does the A/C work...if not that could be some money.. ENJOY THE HUNT! Steve
  15. I just spent 800 on a complete set of stainless that came off an already nice car front/rear windshield, belt line mouldings upper and lower, wheelwells and vinyl top trim. I thought it was a bargain. I know I cant get those little dents out of those tiny little corners lol Original poster wanted to know how to get rid of road tar lol
  16. Hey I get it, me too!! I also think it takes more than a buffing pad and some compound to get tinks and dents out of these pieces I know I've tried it MANY times and times nevr been happy with the results. The cheapest way is to buy used that matches the "patina" of the rest of the car..
  17. The thin lower body panel trim from rear qtr to front wheelwell. was flash chromed. never saw wheelwell mouldings in themselves flash chromed. But who knows A pro polisher would send out those strips to chemically remove the chrome and get the stainless polished like a mirror and leave it like that. Steve
  18. I would of lost that bet, Ed...would of bet they were V8 RWD and I don't mean Right Wheel Drive.. Good to kno, THANKS
  19. Nice car probably stickered at 40k Tho I'm pessimistic its a FWD as the ad states. My 1st new car purchase was a Burgundy 85 Lesabre Coupe Collectors Edition. Velour and crank windows w/ AC 307 Salesman saw this kid coming LOL Steve
  20. Mass9192.. where your location? Steve in Mass
  21. I read the 1st gen article, it says excellent cars being sold for 10-20k except 65's higher But mostly, at least the way I read it, people don't like them because of the fuel economy so buy mustangs instead WHAT?
  22. Could asomeone please enlighten me as to what is unsafe about this? What am I missing? Thanks, Stege
  23. Hi Dick I hope you add more pictures I would and I'm sure others would be happy to see.., nice story and good looking car, Steve
