  1. Crazy...that image is completely CGI.
  2. Interested...what would shipping be to 63304?
  3. I bought mine from Rocker King for me 58. They had good radius bends, but the creases were too soft. I ended up cutting them up and using parts to patch mine. Inner rockers are virtually a flat long panel. I agree though...those repros are laughable.
  4. I drove Brian's 58 for a while and dropped it off at the upholstery shop, and then turned around and drove the 60 convertible to my family's Super Bowl party...good weekend for Buicking!
  5. This is definitely one that needs an in-person inspection.
  6. Here is the ad: still there...and priced even lower. http://greensboro.craigslist.org/cto/5390640615.html
  7. He changed his username, still on here.
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-Other-Limited-/111886037926?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1a0ced73a6:g:3pUAAOSwUV9WpmBl&item=111886037926
  9. The second try failed on the carburetor. I am still on the hunt for either a rebuildable Rochester or Carter 4 bbl for any 57-60 Buick.
  10. If timing is too far advanced at idle, it will sound "lopey" and run rough. How much timing do you have at idle now?
  11. I had the doors and fenders blasted with plastic on my Limited. Worked great. I don't like the idea of it or any other blasting on large body panels like roofs or hoods, though.
  12. I think the only way I would ever be interested in this, is if it was close enough that I could grab the trailer and pick it up in an hour. This car appears to be a money pit that you will never recoup any investment. Might be a fun beater if you can get it running on the cheap.
  13. Here is my normal search term: 1960 buick -fits -cover -key -manual -book -article -photo -accessory -keychain -chip -chips -postcard -postcards -watch -print -brochure -chart -spec -specs -kit -magazine -catalog -charts -ad -advertisement -keys -mat -mats -decal -filter -sunvisors -shocks -list -module -muffler -exhaust And that still comes up with over 1500 items. I just look at the auction items, and it brings it down to 100 or so. I usually do a quick search of all the BIN items once a month.
  14. Sucks there's no engine. I agree, though. If it actually is rust free, not a bad buy.
  15. These are very tough to repair, given their concave shape. They are also very hard to come by in good shape, so you almost have to repair the ones you have...because the chances of finding a good one are slim. When you do, you pay $$$$.
  16. Wow! 18 years old and gutting your car. I love it!
  17. I would love to see some photos if you still have the car for sale: adamm@buickpartsdirectory.com Thanks
  18. Yes, we are in good shape here, thanks for asking. There are some pretty bad spots in town, though.
  19. Those nuts are just horrible. I have them on my 60 hood letters and you can't hardly get your fingers into the holes, let alone turn them on or off.
  20. Thanks for the info. Could you quote me a $ for the 7011600? I will pass along the info on the idle circuit size. Thankfully, the rebuilder I am using is not a big commercial shop. He is in TX and focuses on the Quadrajets, but he has done work for me in the past on other carbs and they have turned out great. Shipping sucks, but my day job rarely lets me get out to drop off carbs and other things to local shops...so it's just as easy to drop it in the mail to me.
