Walt G
I very vaguely recall the H-S being on the cover of the J C Penny catalog but since J C Penny was a huge influence in the NY City area at the time ( via locztions, marketing etc) I am sure they saw the car in a photo and wanted it for use. The local Greater NY Region in the area that Joe lived in was very very active in seeing its members cars being requested for use in PR and advertising work. Many members made a decent few extra $ by doing that . Joe would have jumped at the chance , he loved the limelight ( about as much as I do not). Great to read all the comments generated by the photographs ! I totally agree that Steve Babinsky is a great guy and a true car enthusiast who DRIVES his cars! I will refrain from commenting on the CCCA as it is a part of my history that "once was" and will never ever be again.
edinmass
George……the physical area has been altered permanently into car display, and I’m certain it won’t go back. Where the contents went I have no clue, and Lori who worked there for decades was on the guest welcome counter. To be honest, I don’t think she likes the change and thus I didn’t inquire for more information.

1937hd45
Always fun spotting the first car on the way, just like the first truck load of parts on the way to Hershey. Have fun, post more photos. Bob

And his shop is one of the best in the business. They rebuilt the engine on my Twelve back in 2010, still runs perfectly. I may have had to get a 2nd mortgage on the house to pay the bills, but they did a very good job.

I love doze carz. Walt, You saw it at the Ridgefield Meet, it was restored here in town along with two other Chryslers that Paul Stern had. The cane work was a special thick paint that was applied with a cake decorator like fixture after the pattern was laid out in blue pencell. The work cough the eye of Jack Nethercutt and John spent six weeks out there doing several cars.
1937hd45
This is one auction I couldn't afford to walk around in past years, but went to the Gooding auction all four years.

prewarnut
The Jacques Saoutchik is the balls! One car where whitewalls accentuate the profile. Not sure why the estimate is so low....(I'm talking about the 500K...didn't see George's comment above). wayne sheldon
Looks heavy on Mercedes Benz! I wonder how many are there? I like the Lozier, but not the chassis color on it. So many incredible great classics! I think I saw a Delehaye in the background?

edinmass
Below are photos from Moto Lux. A crazy car and jet party with all sorts of lifestyle displays. Tickets are 750 each. Managed to find three on the ground and crashed the event. Took my partners in crime with me. 2
