I have a super rare 1939 buick convertible right hand drive, straight 8 , 3 on the tree , new firestone tires , decent paint convertible top and interior , has never been in California, originally from Argentina then to colorado 10 years ago , have clean pink in my name , nice driver no problems , call Ray 562 271 8566

Yes Matt, I thought it looked a little short as well for a Century but, like Jolly_John, I'm no expert on exports.

The car looks very nice but the right hand drive is a total non-starter for me at almost any price.

I don't know 1939s that well, but right hand drive would scare me off if I was interested (which I am not). I think the "never been in California" line is to reassure a California buyer that there are no California DMV fees due. If I understand it correctly, in California, you can amass a large bill due whenever a car that has been off the road is licensed again.

I moved from CA 12 years ago, and you used to be able to non-op a car there. But CA is always looking for new fees to collect, so who knows.

It's very unusual to see a right-hand-drive Buick of any age.  Maybe it would interest one of our Australian forum friends.

Greg, you should edit the heading of your topic to note "Right Hand Drive."  That, more than anything else, is worthy of attention!

Dollar to a donut a Special.  Not enough space behind the front fender to door for a Century.

Maybe the 1939 Argentina BUICK's were "different", but I see at least a dozen things about this car that aren't '39 U.S.A. BUICK. However, I choose not to list them, since I'm certainly no expert on the '1939 BUICK's that were exported. John

100% its a 46C.  As post, above distance front fender to door and 248 vs 320 air cleaner.

The Flint RHD 39's I have seen are the same as USA. AU & Canada built '39's have a few differences. But the maroon steering wheel, fender lights and stream boards with rubber stone guards on the back fenders are all the same no matter where built -assembled in my view.  Putting the headlight pods on the wrong side is not uncommon.

At that price and RHD will be a difficult sell in USA.  Even hard if in AU at that price - condition

In 2016 it was on eaby with US$75,000 buy now price. In 2014 on ebay with US$80K buy now. And better photos. Has an unusual non stock interior.

Also have photos from 2009. May have been in South America then
