Thank you! Here’s another photo I digitally developed from old negatives! They were just married and he was 18 and her 16 in this photo. I was lucky enough to know them. Miss them dearly and my fascination for the period comes from their stories. There’s a little exposure from something else on the right side but, it’s a 98 year old negative!! Lol

I'm cursed with these boyish good looks and a youthful voice

Me too! Of course, I am 79 and about to turn 80, but those boyish good looks are really a problem! :)  I enjoy your posts. Thanks for the laugh, and good luck with old cars. Mine is 1935 - moderately old, dignified, and short of boyish good looks.

Phil

She’s not too baaaaaaad...........where the men are men, and the sheep are scared!

Lets see if this gets me warning points or a time out........no complaints Peter. 👍

This is a challenge given the angle of the photo, though this popped up on Facebook last night and is probably a Reo Royale Victoria - I was hoping it was the rare and illusive Reo Royale Dietrich Sports Sedan, but the windshield is too rounded at the top.

A mechanical nightmare or at least a really bad dream

Exactly how I make my living..........fix the impossible, hurry up, and is it ready yet? Sometime I think restorers  are in the same league as David Blaine, Houdini, and the other great magicians.......pull a miracle out of your hat.......or ass.

WOW. Most interesting to see the grille guard on the Packard convertibe victoria. I have the same one fitted to my 1930 series 733 touring car. I found mine at Hershey about 3 or 4 years before I bought the car I own ( in 2016)  and bought it just because in my estimation it is so beautiful ( cast bronze frame with brass rods for the vertical bars - it was made in New York City) My personal view is that it looks so much better then the mesh style stone guard ( most restored cars have ) which due to its design stops the flow of your eye . These bar grill guards , compliment  the design and style of the shell and hood sides . The cast bronze frame and brass bar construction is not a light weight accessory!

That has to be one of the best car mascots/hood ornaments I have ever seen - draped or undraped. And it is soft in composition too, not cast out of brass or bronze. As the notable 1930s fashion celebrity  model Betty Boop would state" boop boop a doop'.

Louis Armstrong and his band warrant a better look:

A "decked" V-16 Cadillac too (custom order paint - plus frame painted too, chrome metal sidemount covers with mirrors, whitewall tires, Pilot Ray driving lamp, spotlights, luggage trunk, license plate frames, and some sort of aftermarket radiator ornament,
