Come on guys, haven't you ever met somebody like that before?   Remember all the folks at car shows that tell you about the gem they have at home.  Now you've seen it.

Is that dent in the right front corner original from 1987 too?. Besides being clueless about the value of the car he knows nothing about how to sell it with no pics of the interior, engine, trunk, etc. Is there a demolition derby coming up in Birmingham this summer? If so I say enter it....

Remember all the cars left to rot outside over the last 50 years because the owner thought it was worth tons of cash??? I remember a 34 Ford Cabriolet that whenever someone came close to the asking price it changed by another $1000 to a point where you could have had a brand new Cadillac for less money.

This is one for the next generation to have the same experience with. And Jack, you should be more careful, saying you think it's a $500 car might lead to a line at your door trying to sell you similar "Classics".

Thanks for the morning chuckle!

Remind me of a 34 ply coupe a guy was selling in Wa State, wanted 8000 there was nothing left of it , it had rotted into the ground 1/2 way up the doors, oh ya and stated Barn kept,,,,To many watching auctions, they don't get you have to spend another 30,000 to get it to that point!!!

Good things:

  • A prop company could use it in films/tv. Pimp My Ride, maybe.
  • A dealership test car: if a car salesman applicant could sell this for 4 figures, he's hired.
  • Worth it if there are ten Krugerrands in the ashtray or Gwenneth Paltrow's in the back seat and needs an escort to the Academy Awards.

On the negative,

  • Seventies or Eighties American cars(#&3+ !!!jdbfsdhfvgdlkjf?...choose another decade)
  • too old to drive too new to collect
  • on craigslist, out of a shipping container
  • owner wants engine and interior condition to be a surprise
  • body doesn't look too good, either

The new price was $10,598 so this car has not lost much in value in his eyes.

A 10% servile rate he may be right on maybe 100 left - - - but I would think that the 99 people interested in owning one of these already have one.

LOL ! So true....

I truly believe he knows full well what he is doing and just trying to catch one of the Barnum fish on the fly....or he lost a bet and is made to post it out of humiliation ?
