It is sad to get an email - like this:

My Neighbor's  tree fell onto My two Carports and crushed My 2 1962 Thunderbird's! It also got the Kaiser.

They were not my cars.. .

Pardon, but are the Thunderbirds yours or not?

Nick, your two postings say two different things.

Damage like that can, I believe, be fixed, if you

or the owners care to do it---

I'm guessing that this is the email he got from his friend. His friend's cars were damaged and he sent Nick the photos and email. A set of quotation marks would have helped us understand the post better.

Yep, that seems to be the case.

At any rate, that kinda hurts to read ... AND ... see.  Sure hope they were insured.  If they can be restored again, hopefully they will be instead of just scrapped &/or crushed.

A good example of the need for punctuation

and clear writing!  We were feeling sorry for you.

In any case, I suspect the cars can be restored,

though if they were a bit rough to begin with and

not running, the owner may not have an interest

in doing that.

Sunk in the ground with only a roof and no walls, it kind of looks like nature just sped things up a bit.

A long time ago I heard the term "benevolent neglect". Since I heard it I get the feeling people have been working overtime to demonstrate the concept to me.

I spent $400 to put my Riviera in a storage unit from May until September just to get a little elbow room in my garage. Pictures like that just make me glad I'm willing to go the extra.

If you enlarge the photographs you will see that they were in a very sad state prior to the collapse! If they are insured it was likely a lucky day for the owner! I don't understand why Nick is so distraught ! Wayne

I have to clean up a  Neighbor's tree also. It missed the cars by about two feet.....   My wife told me to take care of it...
