rocketraider
I think this may have been posted fairly recently but can't find it. Anyhoo, enjoy!Car Show Game - 1950s - American Torque .comI am embarrassed to admit that as an AACA Life Member I scored only 94%- those early-50s Mercurys blew me out of the pond! Steve_Mack_CT
Glenn, I have taken this before and scored same - the early 50s Mopars got me - I do not know them well enough to differentiate between Plymouth, Dodge, etc. just by the paint and trim. This is a fun activity. I will tell you some of the Mercedes SL guys on another forum scored 100%. (another excuse I have is that I was not around in the 1950s... )
Guest Skyking
I've taken this before and scored 100. I will admit, the '52 and '53 Mercurys were the hardest. As a kid growing up in the fifties, I spent many hours gathering dealer brochures with my bike. There were many dealerships in my neck of the woods. If this were ever a test of cars from the eighties to present I would flunk with flying colors. I wouldn't know the names, never mind the models or years. 28 Chrysler
It was a bit to easy. I almost got one wrong, it must have been the 57 Chev, because you never see a red one.I started working on old cars in the 60's, these were the cars we tried to keep running in high school. Woodfiddler
Thank you Glenn. I hadn't seen this in the recent past. Very enjoyable for a guy born in '61. I got an 88% - I'm thankful for the opportunity to see those wonderful cars, and thankful to my previous 2 generations. Without them - I'd be lost!Chuck

Sweepspear
44 out of 48.Would have been 46 out of 48, but I second guessed myself over a Desoto and a Chrysler.
dan at larescorp
94% For me.Thanks for sharing that link Glenn.
auburnseeker
I got 100 but it's probably because I sell old car parts daily. I'm constantly Looking through books with car pictures and exploded parts views so I probably have a bit of an edge. If they did one, cars of the 30's or 40's it would be a bit tougher. Cars of the 20's and I would score real low.

I knew the '49 and '55 right away, but the other two I guessed on.
Bleach
Way too easy.Nailed them all."You got 4 out of 4. Average is 3.6 out of 4 (3023813 players). You got 100% (48 right out of 48). The average score is 73%."

Hudsy Wudsy
I got 100%, but, laughably, I wavered for a moment on the '56 hood ornaments. I guess I never paid all that much attention to the Chev ornament by itself.
Guest Texas Old Car Guy
Glenn:Thanks for the "refresher course" from my high school days - scored 100%. Some of the early Mopars and Mercs were a little tough but figured them out. Too bad some of the cars are modified and not original cars.Fred
