  1. There are three 90hp cars............one has not been seen in 70 years............
  2. That upper seat cushion looks awkward. Overall the car looks like it’s got some potential. SV or DV?
  3. I think there’s an original sedan, that’s so nice it passes as restored.
  4. That’s a difficult part to make. You could 3D print it, and it would work out fine. Cost of labor for computer is probably more expensive than you would think. Printing them out has become more affordable........but not cheap. I would guess a grand on computer time, and 750-1000 dollars each to print.(metal) Lost wax is probably your least expensive route.......but that is not an easy piece to make.
  5. In this short time we have on this small marble circling the sun, we are only care takers of the tangible items in or life.
  6. Looks like the one I bought back in 1984.......exactly like it...........Can't remember the name. What do you need? Parts?
  7. That is what we call........big heavy iron. I like it. Wonderful car........
  8. YUP.. Half nuts? Isn't everyone here totally nuts? Just asking.........😉
  9. There must be twenty thousand pieces of stuff all together. His collection was beyond extensive.........and his signs were known to be the best of the best. It will be interesting to watch. Many people have been asking about where the cars are going.......which I have no clue, but there are rumors many are already gone.
  10. Sure looks like a horizontal hit or miss piston to me..........from 1920 or so would be my guess.
  11. Just got to love these “great” cars that are “found” and they just keep sitting and rotting away. The Marmon has been “found” a dozen times........and no takers at any price. I get calls and emails on cars like this once a month. Always from some farmer auction junkie thinking he’s gonna make 75k flipping a pile of rust. Not too long ago, one of the “big name tv shows” called me trying to sell me a car they found in a barn. A big CCCA open car........rare, obscure, and interesting.......just the way I like them. They told me the year and model..........and I immediately responded the “brown car in the state of xxxxxxx”. The guy on the other end of the phone was blown away I knew the car....... “great” cars almost never hide.........some are shy, but very few hide. So the guy asks me if I want to buy it, and I reply......no, it’s too far gone and the motor is junk. I inquired as to his asking price and then I responded that I turned the car down for less than half that number five years earlier, and today I wouldn’t even consider 1/3 of his current asking.............he asked my logic on price.......so I sent him a photo of an identical car that was a nice driver going down the road at my 1/3 number and it’s available today. He was blowen away.......it took years for them to unload the car........they found a fish......and at a fairly high number. You never can tell.......
  12. “survivor cars” or old, shitty restoration? 🤔 Problem is, it’s almost impossible to tell today. One can have suspicions...........the car has nice eyeball, and is certainly a fun toy. It today’s market I don’t see 30hp cars bringing that money...........don’t get me wrong........ no one has more game than me if it hits it out of the park.
  13. Car has been rotting in the same spot for years..........well circulated photo.....
  14. It’s kind of funny........I must have had a dozen inquiries about the early roadster coming up for sale. Probably because I’m the only guy on the planet that own two White gas cars.......... I did get a chance to give the car a close look over at Pebble. It’s very nice. It was in the preservation class. I’ve never been able to figure out if that meant it was a preservation of a restoration, or a preservation of an original car. My gut tells me the car was extensively serviced in the very early days of the hobby. It finished the tour......if my memory serves me. It’s a great car........and for it size on the flats probably is in the top for speed.....I would expect on the hills you just jump out and push it over the top. 30 hp cars are fun if your running with like sized and dated machines. If I lived up north again it would be a fun weekend runner. The last sale was strong.....and I’m certain they put money in it also. Question is......how much money can a 30 hp roadster bring. It’s pretty, has nice lines, so the only question is........what number will it bring?
  15. It’s just a bunch of plastic that’s going to go in the recycle bin...........
  16. “Beat on it like a red headed step child”.......... I prefer to put them in the press. Last month I made a kin pin puller/installer using an assortment of Snap On puller parts and some water jetted dogs and legs.......it was a lot of work, but in the end it worked out fine. Project is coming along fine........
  17. If I am not mistaken, there is an empty spot on the Klum switch on 32-33 cars, If memory serves me, it only activates when you turn on high beams.
  18. While it’s out.......flush the radiator and get a flow check done........40+ gpm is required.
  19. Several comments........the valves in the car are original/early replacements from their design. They should be replaced along with the guides. Do NOT install new valve seats. Using a modern ring package on new pistons will give much better service. Usually the Cadillac V-8 main bearings are intact, but rods often delaminate so it’s usually best to just do them all. Small end bushings in the rods tend to work loose.......don’t trust them. Cylinder banks often have lots of issues.........don’t weld on that engine......just stitch it. While you are in that deep.......clutch is a must. It’s a great car....best of luck.
  20. Problem is, I sold those motorcycles new.........I’m getting old.
  21. Lewundercar.....I’m certain you have multiple issues. First of all, you need to take a compression test. I’m also certain you have ignition issues as well as carburetor issues. .
  22. I drove the same car in college for two years......paid 300 bucks for it. Didn’t have a title, so I drove it on our dealer plate. After a year, the oil pressure light would stay on from it being worn out. I covered the lamp, and changed the oil once a week, and it went another year before it tossed a rod one day without warning. I remember buying a new tail light lens for it at the dealer for 125 dollars............and not having the 125 I had to borrow it.
