I still don’t believe the 140 horsepower rating on the engine. I wouldn’t accept 120 either. I’m thinking much more in the 80 hp range...........

Is the 1941 Cadillac Series 61 a Full Classic now?
edinmass replied to Matt Harwood's topic in CCCA - General
It’s my understanding they were added along with the later LaSalles. More junk cars that have no business being in the CCCA..........it’s way too late to save the exclusivity of the club..........hell, why don’t they let in a Ford T........ -

Looking for Help on Valuing 1929-31? Pierce Arrow Sedan Parts Car
edinmass replied to ShawnLancaster's topic in Pierce-Arrow
Figuring the value of the car, minus the transportation...........it’s just raw numbers. Unfortunately it’s substantially incomplete...........and all the good stuff is long gone. With the upstate auction a few weeks ago with several incomplete cars selling in the 500-100o dollar range...........not much up side. -
Fun topic..........still no engine photos. Bummer. That said.......maybe 35 cars..........so I wouldn’t consider them anything but a footnote in history. The depression of 1920-1921 means it never had a chance. At the numbers posted..........you could have anything you wanted from an established company like Pierce, Packard, ect........would be great fun to look at one. Sadly, it’s very unlikely that any survive. I would refer to a Porter as a “back alley shop” to quote Ray Dietrich. A few people dreaming of a car company post WWI, when the true special cars were already gone.........and the few big boys were still in the game for the next fifteen years.

Looking for Help on Valuing 1929-31? Pierce Arrow Sedan Parts Car
edinmass replied to ShawnLancaster's topic in Pierce-Arrow
Not much left......very little value. Call 413-543-9017 and ask for John. He buys parts cars(he is reasonably close to you)......but be aware, that is not a parts car, it’s what is left of a parts car. 95 percent of the value of the car is already missing. The value is so low, I wouldn’t include it in the list of assets.......... -
Hopefully things will pick up soon........Phil and I have had a bunch of family issues keeping us busy. I’m still trying to get over the COVID ..............it wasn’t pleasant. Phil managed a few small things on the 15 White and took it for a spin yesterday with the grandchildren. A few more weeks and we will get back to speed......

There are three 90hp cars............one has not been seen in 70 years............ -
That upper seat cushion looks awkward. Overall the car looks like it’s got some potential. SV or DV?

I think there’s an original sedan, that’s so nice it passes as restored.

3-D printing inquiry for 1935 Chrysler Airflow part
edinmass replied to Pete Phillips's topic in Technical
That’s a difficult part to make. You could 3D print it, and it would work out fine. Cost of labor for computer is probably more expensive than you would think. Printing them out has become more affordable........but not cheap. I would guess a grand on computer time, and 750-1000 dollars each to print.(metal) Lost wax is probably your least expensive route.......but that is not an easy piece to make. -

In this short time we have on this small marble circling the sun, we are only care takers of the tangible items in or life.
