Chris No did not use the tilt post I think that was only to gain access the trunk on a sedan. I think I still have one. -

When I did my 35 roadster I found the same difference. I had to modify the base of post to aim at the hole. -

Jerrys 37 coupe was a Hershey for sale By Hyman ltd. I was told he bought the 37 and the coke truck. Maybe just selling for Holly but he usually buys outright. -

It was still available on Friday. I think it was being sold by the same guy that bought your 37.

I have repaired several of these. That back is a dipper that feeds oil in that spiral shaft. Studebaker had many bearing designs that were bad. This was very good if you had oil in there. That shaft is very hard but you can clean it up in the lathe. If the casting is worn it can be bushed. Of course John Cislaks mod is nice.

My spaces are next to George. Truck is stuffed with stude parts. Limited space for the reproduction rubber parts. If anyone wants running boards delivered contact me today.

That is a open fitting. You need a smaller hole. Mine were mounted at the upper filter side. -

As Gary mentioned, be sure one of the fittings on the pressure side is a restricted type. Or you will be dumping oil pressure. -

If your engine is the 226 than this 41 engine photo should be close to the same oil line routing. Pressure line from left side of motor and return below canister. -
