  1. I think that cars sells a perfectly cut foam piece to install from the engine compartment, had the same problem the foam was deteriorated, new piece TOTALLY solved the problem
  2. the way to sell it is to put in on e bay with a buy it now or best offer. EVENTUALLY someone will need one and buy it although we would hate to see a fresh wreck of a first generation car. If insured by a classic car insurance company, they would be GLAD to pay 2000 for unobtainium In the interim, it should be hung in your ultimate garage on display
  3. first generation Riv owners "DIE" to get the power vent window option!
  4. we have the GS springs in stock heavier duty that stock, when installed on a level surface the front height from ground to wheel lip is 24 inches front 23 inches rear
  5. With so much time and money and effort, this heavily optioned car should be restored to its original configuration including those FABULOUS turbine wheel covers. Everyone would LOVE to have power vent windows
  6. I like my FAKE wood better!!! (LOL) but here are some real wood wheels:
  7. show us your riviera wood steering wheel! (LOL)
  8. I think that air shocks are old technology. Bilstein gas are a much much better choice
  9. you could take a picture of one without so much reflection and put it in the google images search and maybe something would match
  10. so someday a perfect black 64 console will show up for me
  11. I would like to see them as original paint low low mile cars. (63 64 65 of course!) Would be worth finding out
  12. if the tires are worn on the inside only and not scalloped, then there is too much negative camber
  13. wires or turbines for me, however I would like to see the "look" of a 16 inch wire or turbine on the car
  14. we have plenty of bilstein shock sets and the so called GS springs. The setup makes a dramatic difference in the handling and ride. This comes from a guy who thought his Dad's Riviera handled great when he first got his license in 1966 (my Dad would only let me drive the car once in a while when he was in the passenger seat!) then years later got heavily into Porsche. I finally got my Dad's car and wondered why it was so mushy on the road. The Bilsteins and GS springs took car of that problem, then the quick ratio steering box. All we need now is some side support on the seat and some disc brakes and we will all have great riding and handling Rivs.
  15. I always remember my electric drivers seat going further back but it does not now after restoration even though the seat motor works. Is there only one bolt in position for the seat racks to the seat body and the seat rack to the floor? Is there another position that the motor can be moved to to let the seat go back further?
  16. I too have one of the repro horn bars, they are great. The original factory ones were flimsy. The GS wheel sure makes the interior look better. I still have the original plaque "Riviera built expressly for G A Hussey". (my Dad of course, I was 12 when we went down to the Buick dealer in West Hartford Connecticut to take delivery. One of the most exciting days in my life. Looking at the lineup of what must have been 20 brand new 64 Rivs, I exclaimed: "Dad. we are getting one of these? With power windows???"
  17. agree. Would take a very particular looking wheel in a larger size to look good on the first generation, have not seen one yet
  18. Here you go was thinking about purchasing myself: https://www.ebay.com/itm/162399854449
  19. Have my Ford GT parked next to the Buick and my son's 2006 boxster. Can you believe that my wife ALLOWS him to park in her garage space and she leaves her car outside? Mama and her sonny boy.
  20. Meguiar's A3332 Quik Detailer Mist & Wipe 32 Oz. Craig
  21. Mine has a scratch, anyone have one available?
  22. Just putting a bit of showroom detail wax on this beautiful car last night. I compare it to petting your dog....lowers the blood pressure. BUT THIS ONE IS NO DOG!!!!!!!!!!! lol
