  1. agree, something definitely wrong with this one should have had a saddle wheel and of course the vents painted. why 300 grand?
  2. I have old engine parts from Dick Malinowski (you may remember his as the "polish prince") when Gene and I cleaned out his stash several years ago, free to anyone who wants to come by and get them. (my shoe is not included!!!!!). There is also a Ford valve cover! (LOL)
  3. I added the system
  4. when I put back together my Dad's car that the bodyman took apart for paint and then disappeared, it was a big puzzle. I wanted it PERFECT, so bought two parts cars so I knew where every nut and bolt went and which size and types were used. THEN I gave one of my young talented mechanics the two factory workshop manuals and let him "have at it". Would up with a perfect car
  5. I would like to find a good one for the first generation cars, hard to find these days
  6. a concours winner near perfect took many many many hours(without the notation!)
  7. snake oyl products restores these belts and does a great job
  8. very easy and plugs right in, factory 64 am fm (with 64 knobs) radio. Conversion to high power blue tooth electronic signal seeking, completely stock appearance, front and rear high power three way speakers mounted in the factory positions with factory wiring
  9. the early fm would drift a lot so not popular as one had to keep adjusting the tuning knob
  10. agree, certainly not concours, I have entered many many cars in the concours before and know what it takes, Clean and concours are worlds apart (I am not cheap actually bought the photo cd from Kaufman Photographer !! LOL)
  11. so they do this car and then install a cheap chinese radio in it? and I do not think that the seats are recovered in the correct pattern.
  12. I have perfect fit updated front and rear speakers (three way) along with the factory modified am fm radio so it has GREAT sound, GREAT power, and looks very factory
  13. The key is to get the interior to look right, hence you need to buy the controler and the panels with the blower nozzles THEN you can get the rest aftermarket (compressor condenser evaporator) and have a clean installation that will work with 134. That is what I did with my Dad's non air car although I used the original compressor,
  14. the best thing is that even if the radios do not work, there are several places now who will convert the radios to high power blue tooth, but the buttons volume and tuning controls will still work as original
  15. and especially since it is a 1965 the BEST one to have
  16. save it!!! I would start with a good sand blasting to see how bad everything is, the mount can be fabricated easily enough (we do it all of the time for our Porsches where the part is not available. We save as much of the original structure as we can and duplicate the factory ribbing
  17. several years ago, I installed Carbon Kevlar brake shoes on a 65 I had along with relined aluminum finned drums and the car actually stopped TOO well. It was AMAZING. Carbotech did the whole procedure (reline drums and match the shoes)
  18. thought that CARS had new ones?
  19. I bolted in Hellas and did not need any relay what so ever. Look great are nice and bright ,there is a kit for the four beams and it is reasonably priced
  20. when I was a kid in highschool, I took my Dad's 64 on an unopened freeway (ga 400) and buried the speedo needle (140 mph instrument). I was never an abuser of cars, but had checked the tire pressure and the fluids and eased it up to that speed!
  21. the drums now really have to be relined as over the years they get too big from turning and bending the shoes to match and just then lose their effective stoping power
  22. reverse is the lowest gear, so would change the filter and fluid first and see what happens. maybe just fine after the change
  23. terrific buy, cannot beat a low mile original riv
