Trulyvintage
I just talked to Greg Grams on the phone. Today is opening day. I know firsthand all the energy he had put into this exhibit … Here is a throwback to last year when I visited and was able to do a exclusive behind the scenes video with him as he was creating the exhibit: @ Jim

Terry Harper
Thank you for sharing. Looks like a wonderful exhibit. A few years ago, during a visit to Halifax, Nova Scotia, we had the privilege of visiting the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. They have a very powerful exhibit on the Titanic and of course the city has a strong link to that tragic story. They also have a wonderful exhibit on the Halifax explosion (1917). Very much worth the visit. 1

George K
What do Illinois and the Titanic have in common. I know because I am I left there 43 years ago. The photo above pictures it well.
Littlestown Mike
While touring around Nova Scotia a couple of decades ago, I was surprised that nearly every coastal village had a museum with Titanic memorabilia. Makes sense when you realize how close they were to the Nova Scotia Coast. Deck chairs---everyone had deck chairs.

IMO, it's really just a used car dealer that specializes in vintage cars and charges $ to see them. 3
60FlatTop
I am not a big fan of the diametrically opposed media but I saved this picture a few years ago because I just enjoy taking things literally. Like breaking news. Could have been a barnfind.

You do not know what you are talking about - Volo Auto Sales owns 90% of what they sell - about a year ago they completed a new on-site state of the art auto repair and detail shop: @ All proceeds from the sale of vehicles go back into The Volo Museum with (40) permanent displays. Patriarch Greg Grams has lived on the property since 1960. Jim Edited April 18, 2023 by Trulyvintage (see edit history)

You're entitled to do what you want, charge what you want, etc. But I've been to many museums across the world and I would not include the https://www.volocars.com/the-attraction in the category of "museum."

60FlatTop
Highly recommended in my book. Rubber chickens and Wisconsin Duesenbergs aren't found in those old world haunts. Actually I thing they were doing business when I was at Great Lakes Boot Camp in 1967. 1
Trulyvintage
He was there last Halloween …. I think he makes an appearance every Halloween. Here is a promo video from 2019: @ Greg Grams is & has been personal friends with some of the greatest names in all genres of the automotive industry including George Barris & Carroll Shelby. The Volo Museum is the primary source for movie car rental - their permanent collection includes some of the most valuable vehicles to appear on film. Jim Mead
How often have we called our cars rolling art or a museum on wheels ? It is just a matter of scale. The Gentleman has worked hard, been very successful and has preserved and exhibited to the public a lot of history. Looks like a great place to visit…….
Trulyvintage
Mr Greg Grams flys out to his home in Naples, Florida today for a few days of well deserved rest He still lives on the property his parents bought in 1960. The other vehicles in The Titanic Exhibit are period correct and are spectacular. Str8-8-Dave
We visited the Titanic Museum in Pidgeon Forge, TN which is built inside a full-size replica bow section of the Titanic. They issue head-sets at the ticket booth that allow you to listen privately to explanations of the displays. It is built on 2 floors with full size replica of the grand staircase to transition you or you can take a period elevator. It has full size diorama displays of all classes of cabin accommodation. About | Titanic Pigeon Forge Skylight over the grand staircase Grand staircase As the ship sank orchestra played music to try to calm passengers First Class cabin The helm has a scene of the star-filled sky over the wreck site some time before the collision. Convincing your son that April 14 is a great day for a birthday must have been challenging, considering the historical events tied to this date, such as the Titanic disaster and Lincoln's assassination. Despite these somber associations, birthdays are an opportunity to create joyful and personal memories by presenting something unique. Over time, he may come to embrace the uniqueness of his birthdate and make it a day filled with happiness and celebration. Pfeil
Titanic is a very interesting ship. It is a combination of old and new. Titanic was compromised-propulsion wise, because of money concerns. Older ships like Lusitania and Mauritania were more technologically advanced and faster than Titanic due to their propulsion systems.
