1932 Plymouth sport roadster - $30K Very nice!

Recommended Posts

I usually think of Plymouth as going for less than Model A money, but this one looks pretty special. 32 has the last year for the 4 cylinder and it was redesigned with all the features you always wished they had (65 hp with the "redhead")  I wish the ad had more info and better pictures!

They seem to be more desirable than an A and rarer so I think the price is very realistic,  but it definitely has some stuff on it that needs to come off.  I don't mind accessories but in this case they aren't helping the car.

If you don't believe me on price just do a search on the web for any for sale.  Projects are often priced up to 20 G or more. Finished cars usually start around 30G.

It's also a 32 so not really that comparable to an A.  Now a 30-31 I would say is more comparable.    A little stodgier and less sporty.  Kind of like the 31-32 Ford comparison.  Remember you could still get a 4 Cylinder 32 Ford,  so really no different than this.  The value is in the styling.

I only know because I looked for one of these for a while and there was nothing like this for sale in this price range.

If I wasn't on a quest for something different I would be all over it.

I'd be tempted to leave all of the accessories at home hanging on the wall in the garage. It sure is a nice, clean look without them. Here's a red coupe from Google Images, sans all of the embellishments:

The coupe is a PA, roadster is a PB model.

Boy this one looks much better just in the colors and way it presents.

Maybe pull a bunch of extras off the one and present it a little better.

Maybe just painting in the upper body line a black on the red/ maroon one would help and some striping.

Also close the rumble lid for the photos and less going on in the picture.   I know it has nice paint but parked next to the sidewalk,  it has all kinds of weird lines in the side of the body that are mere reflections,  but just disrupt the eye and take away from the clean lines of the car.

Even in a garage with a cover on part of it,  your friend's looks more appealing.

Beautiful car Jeff but I'm not sure I live on the right side of town to own it. If I had that I'm afraid my wife would never see me again as I'd be eating and sleeping in the garage.

"There’s way too much info on this car to type about" so I would rather have dozens of phone calls so I can repeat the same story over and over.

Also, about 90% of what is bolted on that car needs to be thrown in a dumpster.

I'm missing the 10%

Friend of mine has one of these, with a Chevy small block, I think. Brought it with him over fifty years ago when he moved to Calif from CT. Hasn’t seen the light of day since. There it sits. I put a post-it note with my name on it. .

@AdamInNH I'm the nephew of the owner. Would you be able to PM me? I just joined the forum so it won't let me PM you.
