victorialynn2
Does anyone know what the coral and white car on the left is? Thank you!
Matt Harwood
Keiser will know for sure, but maybe a Valiant? 1
auburnseeker
I think it's a 1961 Dodge Lancer
Guest
Datson 1600 or 2000 about 1968. Sorry didnt read carefully! Yeah Valiant wagon. Never seen such a "bright" two tone on a Valiant. Edited September 16, 2019 by Guest (see edit history)
auburnseeker
You may be right Matt might be a 61 VAliant instead 1

auburnseeker
That trim looks more valiant than Lancer though they share the same overall body design.
Fleek
I thought Valient too, but the back window is wrong.
auburnseeker
It could be a wagon. That would give it the right angle. 1

victorialynn2
Was 2 tone an original option for it?
pont35cpe
Probably equipped with a slant 6..
Fleek
Not sure the two tone was available. Here is a pic of a 1960 with the correct trim for painting it two tone. There were many ways to configure your new car back then including chrome, color combos, etc. Edited September 16, 2019 by Fleek (see edit history)
keiser31
Definitely a 1960 Valiant and not a Lancer. The Valiant has the flat, red Siamese taillights and the Lancer had different taillights. keiser31
My Dad and Mom had a baby blue 1960 Valiant station wagon. I was 7 1/2 years old. We (five kids and two parents) took a trip across the country from Detroit to get my sister in Nebraska. We stopped at state parks and there was one with bison roaming all over. Might have been Custer State Park. Well, my Dad pulled into a place to get a closer look and that is when a bison decided to defend his territory. He snorted like a bull and bowed his head and charged our little Valiant as we "sped" off with our little slant six working as had as it could. Whew, that was close. victorialynn2
Reminds me of some Corvairs. Not because they look the same, but because they are both so ugly, they are cute.

There's a 62 Plymouth sedan floating around Washington State with a license plate that says XNRSXIT..... I like those too. It was the first B-body. Tom McCahill loved it, but nobody bought any. It was a huge success later on, so I guess old Uncle Tom was right.
JACK M
As much as I hate to admit it, I bought one of those Datsun 2 liters when I was 21 years old. It was a rocket. One of the two cars that I ever bought new. Neither made it very far as they are the only two cars that I have totaled in my life. You will NEVER guess what the other one was. Hint, Both of the cars that I bought new were the only two Japanese cars I have ever owned.
