  1. Not easy to find Flame Red horn buttons (unless you are successful in painting other ones Flame Red).
  2. Since the car has a "Turbo 6" logo on the front quarter panel, I would assume it's a turbo.
  3. You cannot kill a 3800 v6 engine. I've owned 6 Buicks with a variation of that engine from naturally aspirated to supercharged. IMO it's the best engine that Buick built.
  4. Two points I'm going to make: #1 - Cadillacs are really just Buicks with bad engines! #2 - I once owned a 1999 Eldorado ETC and currently still own a 2000 Eldorado ESC. Both had/have NorthStar V8's. By the very late 90's/early 00's, North Star engines had been re-tweaked to perform with less head gasket issues...IF YOU TAKE CARE OF THEM PROPERLY!
  5. Knew that the a/c was in need of fixing on my '91 Reatta when I put it in storage last Fall. Took it out of storage in April (which is the SAME MONTH that the MA annual safety inspection is due each year for this car...I just call it due diligence a.k.a. paying attention) and found out that the a/c condenser was toast. Had it replaced and a/c recharged...all is well now. I lean to the right, but I do enjoy living in MA.
  6. If it were mine, I would spray it with some sort of clear lacquer to protect any further damage/any material becoming dislodged.
  7. Apparently you're not a busy man today!
  8. Mr. "Nutty" (Keith), IMO since the car is going to be driven primarily by your wife, you certainly want it to be as stable as possible performance-wise. Therefore, go with the HEI set up. Just sayin'....
  9. If memory serves me correctly, I believe it was displayed at the 2007 Riviera Owners Association National Meet in Asheville, NC.
  10. OEM rear struts for the 86-93 Riviera and the compatible 88-91 Reatta are no longer being produced or are available. A number of gents over at the Reatta Owners Journal Forum are experimenting with a homemade machined alternative. I assume ArticWhite88 is aware of this.
  11. Isn't this the 8th and final Riviera generation?
  12. Although it is not the weekend, I attended my first local cruise-in today for the 2023 season. Two other Buicks were there besides my '91 Reatta. I spent copious amount of hours spiffing the Reatta up prior to the cruise-in. The rag top belongs to a fellow BCA Minuteman member...don't know who owns the GS.
  13. If you do get the plug off successfully, don't reuse the old one. Buy a new one with a flexible washer when you reattach. Most auto stores will have them.
  14. When I owned my '92 Rivieras with the landau vinyl roofs, I used "303 Aerospace Protectant" spray. I was very happy with the product, and it had/has UV protection.
  15. I hope you didn't use one of Sue's good towels!
  16. 1990-1993 Riviera and 1990-1991 Reatta use the same HVAC unit. They can be found on eBay often, or as Paul above mentioned there might be one at a local (to you) pick n' pull auto salvage yard. Hopefully you have a Factory Service Manual for your era Buick. The manual shows how to remove and install a HVAC unit.
  17. There must be something to be learned from this: when soccer practice gets cancelled, don't touch the car!
  18. My high school shop class had one of those. As rookies, we all had to fabricate a tin cup from scratch, including using a brake and soldering with the old irons. To pass the class, the cup had to hold water and not leak.
  19. Lowes now owns Craftsman. Bring it to them and see if they still honor a replacement guarantee similar to what Sears use to have.
  20. Age 74 but no more Rivieras. I have a Reatta, though.... does that count??.... a lot of Riviera parts in a Reatta, just sayin'🤪 Edit: AND, I continue to be a faithful member of the ROA
  21. I quite recently noticed that the BCA BOD minutes for 2023 are now being published on the BCA website. Thank you, Jack and John, for getting that to happen again.
  22. You might want to secure the light to the ceiling a little better, also 🙄
