  1. I agree, no true 64 1/2, just early 65. But they came with a generator, not an alternator. And for a V8 they came with a 260ci, not a 289ci.
  2. I agree, no such animal, just very early '65.
  3. There's also a site forum for '95-'99 Rivieras called Riviera Performance - Dashboard (editboard.com).
  4. I learned to drive a stick with my first car, a '56 Mercury 3 speed on the floor...previous owner converted it from a column shift.
  5. I've got a cruise-in buddy that owns a 64 and a half Mustang convertible with the 260ci V8 and a generator. It was manufactured during the 3rd week of April, 1965.
  6. contact Marck Barker at East Coast Reatta Parts. He had a big number of previously unattainable rear struts reproduced by Monroe.
  7. Contact Jim Finn reattas60@gmail.com and get him to send you a good used one. The same HVAC controller is used on the 90-91 Reatta along with the 90-93 Rivieras.
  8. My vote is for the Sherwood Green.
  9. 1949 was the first year for the "Riviera", also.

  11. They came out great! Good work (but you really need to police the area!).
  12. FYI, Rock Auto has low side and high side A/C retro kits for sale. I looked for my '91 Reatta, but they are for sale all years Reatta. Go to 1991 BUICK REATTA 3.8L V6 A/C System Service Valve / Core / Cap | RockAuto.
  13. My first driving experience was getting behind the wheel of my dad's '56 Ford Fairlane 500 when I was fourteen. He only allowed me to go up and down our driveway. At seventeen, I bought my first car in 1966 which was a '56 Mercury standard shift that I drove to high school in. While in college I drove a '63 Falcon Futura convertible that I shared with my girlfriend (later my first wife).
  14. I too only have a one car garage. I store my 00' Eldorado in it during the winter. But I bought an 10X16 foot Shelter Logic vinyl igloo a long time ago to store my '91 Reatta also during the winter.
  15. Great looking Riv, Gene....Roadster roof to boot!
  16. Try Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market.
  17. And yet, with all that hard work pulling weeds.... his hair stays perfect!!
  18. Congratulations, John! There's nothing more memorable than traveling across country by car. What an experience! In the fifties and early sixties my dad took us family members across a few times in a fifty-six Ford Fairlane 500.
  19. That roll around chair looks to be a U.S. Government issue from the late 50's/early 60's. You did a great job on the desk restoration.
  20. The pics of the sites along the way are fantastic. John, remember it's the journey, not the destination.
  21. The 2012 National there was a fantastic meet.
