  1. In about 30 days or less.
  2. IMO, a good number of desirable cars trade hands by word of mouth through friends and car clubs. They never make it to any advertisements unless the owner wants to send it to auction for the experience. Just a thought.
  3. That is not a title or a VIN plate. That is a warranty book on the car and an original owner id plate that was used when the car went into the dealership for service. I see the original owner lived in Yale, MI
  4. I would not be surprised if it was a GM company car like an engineering test car when new before being sold retail.
  5. Any oil today is better than the best oil in the day.
  6. There was also a turn table on the 15th floor in the old General Motors building on West Grand Blvd. (now Cadillac place) The 15th floor was the domain of GM Photographic where lots of commercials and other promotional material was developed.
  7. Should have been sold as a blem. Should not affect the performance of the tire, IMO.
  8. There is one at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe Shores in their garage. https://detroitdvotion.com/2011/11/30/edsel-and-eleanor-ford-house/
  9. This is the operative statement. Towing an enclosed trailer with a vehicle can be done with a 1/2 ton vehicle but it can be a struggle in the mountains. Meaning going 45mph at 4,500 RPM going up the hill with the /12 ton. 1/2 ton will work in the flat lands, but not in the mountains very well. If you can afford it there is nothing better than have a 3/4 ton diesel truck or more to tow with. I used to tow with a 1/2 ton and moved up to a 3/4 ton diesel. I will never go back. The rule of thumb is to always buy more truck than you think you will need.
  10. Water might make it run better??
  11. How about giving us a hint on the make, model, and year of the vehicle you are talking about?
  12. Try swapping the wires of the fan motor in the connector and see what happens. I will bet it will work correctly. I have seen your problem before.
  13. IMO, Pertronix will not fix your problem, so............ Let's start with the basics. With the ignition on and points open, check the voltage at the one side of the coil. Is it battery voltage? If it is not you are losing voltage from that point back to the ignition switch and further back to the fuse block, etc.. Just keep tracing back until you find the battery voltage drop. If you have battery voltage on the ignition feed side of the coil, is there battery voltage at the other side of the coil? If not, bad/open coil for sure. If yes then go to the point arm and see if you have battery voltage at the point contact at the point arm. Battery voltage there, then it would appear that you have a ground problem. As EmTee states you need a good ground on the breaker plate, the plate that the points are screwed to. If all of this is good, then you should have spark with everything hooked up. One thing to check is with the distributor cap off and turning the engine over with the starter do you see any sparking at the point contacts? Also, don't forget to double check the condenser/capacitor. If shorted internally you will not have any spark and if open will cause the points to burn. Just some thoughts.
  14. Just when you think you have seen just about everything something new pops up. On top is a new 75" TV that was just bought at Walmart. By the way it is being held there by the guys in the back seat with their hands holding it down. No straps or anything.
  15. Let's get to the basics. What year & make of car are you talking about?
  16. When you get new battery cables and have them crimped, have the terminals soldered to the cable. Solder fixes a host of possible bad crimps, and other issues with the mechanical connection. In fact it is good to solder all crimped terminals especially critical connections going to ignition switches, ignition, etc....
  17. No calipers, but they do have rear repair kits. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chrysler,1989,tc+maserati,2.2l+135cid+l4+turbocharged+sohc,1067172,brake+&+wheel+hub,caliper+repair+kit,1720
  18. Might also check some Astro Vans. Some of them also had hydro boost. I do not know if they are the same unit, but it is worth a try.
