  1. Me too, I have one of those post drivers, but it it red. I have gotten good at installing metal posts with the front end loader of my tractor. Much easier.
  2. Today's humor. I saw a Tesla in the middle of the road with a tow truck in front of the car with a jump box connected under the front hood/bonnet, a police car behind with the lights on only maybe 100 yards from a Tesla charging station.
  3. Actually the other way around. Amps is the amount of current or electrons that can go through a wire ("or pipe"). The amount of electrons/amps is governed by the size of the wire. Volts is the amount of "pressure" or push that is exerted on the available current. No different than water in a hose. More pressure/volts can accomplish more water/amps through a given size of pipe/wire.
  4. Suggestion, you might want to solicit some of the judges to run for the board.
  5. Having the voltage of being charged does not mean it has the capacity to be able to start the car, especially if it is an old battery.
  6. Called Bellville washers https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&hs=xh2&sca_esv=60df094e8c3a7fc5&sxsrf=ACQVn08aexaTcb7f-MCzgHa5mSTJI_TwtA:1708010788162&q=belleville+washers&tbm=isch&source=lnms&prmd=ivsnmbtz&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjR6rOC1K2EAxVA38kDHQ-2CmkQ0pQJegQIDhAB&biw=1866&bih=922&dpr=1
  7. Yup, and you can see us in the 1915 Buick truck, 6th vehicle back.
  8. Remember the old commercials that said "How do you spell relief? R O L A I D S" When the elementary kids at the time were asked to spell relief they spelled ROLAIDS.
  9. Good writing and spelling is becoming a very lost art. My wife is my proof reader as she is beyond excellent with word spelling. It is amazing the number of times she catches misspelled words on TV, bill boards, and advertising copy. Good grammar and spelling is becoming a lost art.
  10. It is not unusual for an engine rebuild to be $1,000.00/hole-cylinder.
  11. If it is leaking, you need to check the head for flatness. If not perfect, you might need to have the head resurfaced.
  12. Unless it is a shadow, it looks like it is leaking between 4&5. Maybe between 2&3 also.
  13. Pictures, frame number, engine number, and where are you and the car located?
  14. Just because you can does not mean you should.
  15. I had one of those problems at one time. It turned out to be where the circuit for the distributor wire goes from the outside to the points inside of the distributor. The circuit is through the distributor housing using a bolt that is surrounded by an insulator sleeve. Turned out the sleeve was cracked and allowed the circuit to go to ground and the engine would miss or stop. Just a thought.
  16. I have read the report and also seen some of the videos on the subject. Eye opening research, but I still use the with the correct torque when putting stuff together.
  17. What about a seized water pump or alternator? You would not be the first. Take off the belts and see what happens.
  18. It should be OK to have it in the house if you are using it as a paper weight.
  19. Quite plentiful and I believe from the late teens to early 20's. I believe they are for Model 45 cars. Still all for $45 is a good deal to anyone that needs them.
