  1. Thanks Keith I have looked at that one. My issue is it doesn't have the factory air. This would be a lot of work to install the original and hard to find good parts. My main criteria is convertible with factory air. This gives me a lot of options in the 1957 to 1965 range with all manufacturers. I am still looking taking my time and enjoying the search.
  2. TTR maybe the date codes were on the inside of the tires. I didn't know of this. Thanks for the education.
  3. Thanks 48Super The description of the car was not correct with the condition. No regrets for not purchasing. Moving forward to the next one. Hopefully soon.
  4. Update on the 1964 Oldsmobile. It was not in very good condition. back half of the water pump was broke and repaired with liquid steel. Antifreez was leaking. The new carburetor was just a cleaned up old one. Leaking fuel. Engine leaking oil on most if not all of the gaskets. Tires had no date code. (Date codes started in 2000) Started checking electrical and finding things not working. I don't mind fixing things, but this was said to be ready to drive out of the facility. I wouldn't trust the reliability to drive it. I had to pass. My search goes on. Thanks for the input from everyone. Your forum has helped educate me on searching and inspecting old cars. My search goes on.
  5. Thanks everyone for the helpful information. I have scheduled an appointment to view the car. (Not concerned about eyes in the sky)
  6. Thanks (60FlatTop) Unfortunately the owner passed. His daughter is the one selling the car. The car has recently been serviced to become more drivable. Brakes gone through new carburetor fuel pump power antenna ignition power seat motors and reconditioned cylinders for the top. According to the dealer.
  7. Thanks (Rocketraider) for your input. Yes the dealer is only 1HR away from me. I am trying to educated enough to make a good decision if I try to purchase.
  8. Thanks for the responses I am receiving. This is helping to educate me. I will continue to monitor further responses. I hope to become a car owning member in the near future.
  9. Thanks for your help. Could you show me the top of the page? It didn't show in your response.
  10. I would appreciate pricing help. I down't want to pay $30,000 for a car that should be $15,000. I am looking for a car for retirement to drive and work on. I can only afford a one shot chance.
  11. I am thinking of purchasing one with ps pb air pw windows pwr antena pwr seat. Condition is good. From a dealer. Original unrestored. What kind of price range could it be? They are asking $30,000
