  1. I understand - nearly $200 is a big bill for a box of nuts!
  2. FYI, the rounded acorn shape is factory correct for 1965. The squared-end ones are appropriate for '71 and up.
  3. https://oldbuickparts.com/product/wheel-nut-1-2-20-ss-rh/ I have a set on my '67 Riviera. Like everything else lately, the price has gone up, but they are solid stainless and will never rust or come apart like the cheaper ones that are just a stainless cover over a plain lug nut.
  4. That's my grandfather's '59 Ranch Wagon parked in front of the garage.
  5. Talk to Marcus about your shades. He did a great job on the robe rail for my '38 Century. I found out about him from @Gary W.
  6. My '56 Chevy before it became mine...
  7. Would this be considered a 'Victoria Coupe'? https://forums.aaca.org/topic/370405-the-victoria-coupe-body-style-of-1914-1930/
  8. I like these, but this one needs to be re-posted at the "80% immaculate" price. As usual, there's a reason the seller stopped short of completing the fender repair. The last 10% accounts for 50% of the cost...
  9. FWIW, I have no complaints regarding the reproduction 7.00-15 Firestone whitewalls I bought for my '38 Buick two years ago. My only regret is not having bought a 5th one for the spare. I may do that in the near future, just in case...
  10. Nice looking Buick! Tell us more about how it landed in your garage...
  11. I expect the original leather is hard. I wonder whether it could be brought back enough to actually allow use without crumbling.
  12. That, and I wouldn't expect to have to rebuild an engine or transmission anytime soon.
  13. See below - it is apparently from (or for) a GS, if that matters to you. It has a few small pits (raised bumps), but not bad and they haven't broken open. Pictures taken just as I found it; I haven't cleaned it up or tried to polish it. Let me know if you're interested, as I will not be using it on my car, since it isn't a GS... It appears to be secured to the glovebox door by three screws. The plastic glovebox compartment shell needs to be removed from the door first to access the fasteners.
  14. Contemplating the finer points of late-'50s Detroit 'tail-fin' art?
  15. Looks remarkably complete, as far as i can see... The upholstery looks surprisingly good - and I can imagine it must have been pretty comfortable to sit in when new.
  16. I think this is a case where finding a better car (or at least a solid body shell) would make sense. The exception, for me, would be if this particular car has sentimental value based on family ownership, for example. Even with that, restoring the car will involve replacement of lots of the original metal, which is very labor intensive. It doesn't make economic sense to pay someone $75/hour to restore the body, but the tradeoff is that even if you can do most of the work yourself the time investment will be substantial. How many years and/or dollars are you willing to spend on the project prior to the 'payoff' of driving it? That answer should direct the path forward.
  17. Very clean '73, but $50K for a 100,000 mile car? It will be interesting to see what happens with the auction (I predict 'no-sale').
