  1. Thanks for the advice. I had been considering Wix filters as well and will definitely be buying one now. I had used them off and on over the years, but often had difficulty finding them.
  2. I'm going to do an oil change on my recently acquired '65 Buick Wildcat with the 401 engine. I see that Fram offers a choice of two PH 25 filters. One "for confined spaces" which is double the price of the standard one. Which one do I need?
  3. This is a photo of my '65 Wildcat dash. It appears to be the same as your chrome dash vent.
  4. I just picked this '65 Wildcat Custom 2 door up a few weeks ago. 68,000 miles, with factory A/C. 401 engine.
  5. Hi guys. I thought I'd bring you up to date on my original thread. It appears to me that all of the Dorman lug nuts for my vehicle are the same. It's just a matter of what the vendor is charging. I submitted a question to Summit Racing Equipment, asking the difference between a 611-153 and a 611-153.1. The only difference is that one is for individual nuts and the other is for a ten pack. So, basically the prices are all over the map for the same product. I ended buying them from AutoZone for $2.49 a piece. The cashier advised to only use a deep 13/16" socket on them. They're on, along with new white wall tires and look great. Now on to the center caps.
  6. Great. Thanks for the link. That's definitely in my price range. Much appreciated!
  7. I'm seeing a lot of poor reviews on the lower priced lug nuts sold by the usual auto part chains, such as internal threads missing, poor quality, etc. Is there a middle of the road option that is of decent quality, but won't break the bank?
  8. Thanks, EmTee, I'm learning a lot already. As gungeey posted above there's a huge difference in price between the originals and the "close enough" ones. Since I don't have a trailer queen, I'll be going the cheaper route. They'll be better than the nuts that I have on now.
  9. Good information. I'll be going with the ones on the right. Thanks for the advice. I'll post some photos later this week. I have new whitewalls going on later this week to replace the ugly Trailblazers that the previous owner put on.
  10. Hi. New member here. I just purchased a 1965 Buick Wildcat Custom 2dr. It requires a few things upgraded, including white wall tires, which I've just ordered. The car has the factory chrome wheels with just ordinary lug nuts, where you can see the exposed thread. I've searched the internet and it appears that everybody is selling lug nuts for my car, but they're all different. Is there a specific type or brand that exactly matches what the vehicle had originally? Thanks
