  1. Interested. Sens a pm or just tell me here where to send the $$$. My zip is: 06853-1601 Tom T.
  2. 7/64ths. is approx. .015" smaller than 1/8th." It's supposed to be slightly smaller for a tight fit SO IT DON'T COME OFF.
  3. The round circle is for the high beam headlight indicator & is RED. To the left & right are the signal light indicators & each one is green. I'm pretty sure they are all separate pieces.
  4. Buick did not make Riviera's in 1946. A Riviera was known in 1949 as it was the beginning of the hardtop & was called the Riviera. At the moment I'm 72. So I bought mine when I was 18. Today I still have the same '64 Riv. with over 300K on it. May drive it to Pa. this year. We'll see how that works out. !st. I would have to put the 3.07's back in. Tom T.
  5. 5/16 x 18 (course thread) x 1" - 1 1/4" long. Grade 5 is good enough but can use a grade 8 & a flat washer.
  6. '63/'64 chassis manual says 65-85, but I will usually go to 90-95 just to be sure.
  7. Add 2 bottles of GM posi additive & go to a large parking lot & do a bunch of figures eights. AND IT IS NOT EITHER OR WHAT. IF IT HAS A 3/4" HEX IT'S A POSI. IF NOT AN OPEN REAR. CAN I be any more clear on this???
  8. The Posi fill plug has a 3/4" hex you use a wrench on. Non Posi uses a 3/8" drive square extension to remove. So you are remembering the opposite Ed.
  9. I know '61-'65 posi's are on the fill plug.
  10. '63 & '64 are different. The one posted is a '64. For $250.00 it will be around for awhile. They all say they aren't rebuild-able, but I have done a few, but the cost is MORE than $250.00
  11. ALL '64-'66 dipsticks & tubes are identical. Again, 2x4 shifts higher & firmer.
  12. That piece is chrome plated steel, not stainless.
  13. As you know '64's are by themselves. "65 & '66 the governor is set to shift at a slightly higher shift point & the separator plate the two holes that pass the fluid to the clutches to fill faster are slightly larger by about .020" for a firmer shift.
  14. Would you think about $100.00 shipped?? Tom T.
  15. WOT shifts are a couple hundred RPM's higher. They AREN'T stronger.
  16. ALSO check the inner rocker boxes & the front seat bracing.
  17. One thing for sure you DO NOT WANT TO USE MOREL LIFTERS!!!!!!!
  18. A rear sump pan WILL NOT fit a Riviera with a center sump pan.
  19. I know it's 10+ yrs. old. Just some info for those who don't know what happens to the plastic & give them a heads up.
  20. Yes, all those plastic teeth ended up in the oil pan. Bad part over a short period of time they ALL eventually get sucked up into the oil pickup screen. This cuts down on the needed oil volume to the engine. Yes, you have oil pressure but no volume which is NEEDED not only for pressure but cooling the bearings & other associated oil lubricated parts. You NEED TO DROP THE PAN & CLEAN THEM OUT!!!!
  21. The '64 has & uses the "R" terminal. '63 does NOT it happens from the ignition switch.
