  1. You should be able to get the number off existing . Look at through access clutch cover ,is on edge very small , If trouble locating, see Tayormade 's thread on Daphne . Then you can find a cross on SFK bearing site .
  2. I recall when doing mine something about slow or non-returning being caused also by collapsed inners lining on the brake flex lines . May have been more a problem on system that where left empty and dried out .
  3. You guys never seen hillbilly tamper-proof screws before . The slots are only for removing screws . Hammer baby !
  4. Still would not be without my Simpson . Found many of compressions shorts and intermittent opens that digitals just cannot .
  5. MPB says 14933 only used on Models A B C and DD all 8-1/4" 3 pc. doors . Do not know what exactly is .
  6. I believe It would be a depress beam headlight lens . Could look up number with truck model number for you .
  7. Not readily , but post pics and I am sure some one will step up . E-bay has from time to time . Remember may match some used on both Chevy and Ford , both who have more reproduced stuff . I have seen that pad wagon on DBC site . Post us here some pics .
  8. i'm little confused . you did not ask about the copper washers . they should not have the grooves until they are tighten in place , making them grooved . You may want to anneal them softer before install , will seat easier .What is wrong the bolts?
  9. Check with Jay go by Pre 1930 Chrysler . He does complete tear downs of rodded chassis . He is on here In Chrysler forum mostly .
  10. Wow ! probably had bearing freeze from fluid leak and spin out on shaft . You need to get manufacture number from parts list and reverse Id other donor models to help expand search . I can not imagine they made many different sizes . Good luck
  11. Those tie rod ends come up on ebay regularly numbers and cross maybe available at Plymouth The First Decade site . May as well just get NOS ones .
  12. Mine me asking what is wrong with the spindles you have . I though all wearable parts were replaceable .
  13. Maybe it is only a broken spring . You'll have to take apart and see what is up . Insides are pretty simple . There is one now on ebay may match , in and outer handles and latch all 150 . So dive in and start fix'in that is half the fun .

  16. I think you need a three wire coil to have the gage terminal . The ignition switch goes between the amp gage and coil all else would be same . You may be able to just take power off new switch as Tinindian said . Your gage is then on with key on .
  17. I have used the 1/16th for setup of stationary side and tighten adjusting side until it starts to rub . raise rear wheels and turn by hand . If new lining may have some high spot need wearing in . Your trying to get maximum contact when setting brake .
  18. Thanks Chrycoman and Spinneyhill . I just had a few made for friends who have '30 '31 '32 F series trucks . Made a couple extra , nice to know they will fit others including Merchant Express .
  19. Looking for someone with a Dodge ,Plymouth and Desoto Master Parts Books. To look in front index to see if part number 72009 is listed . In MPB of trucks prior to 1933 , it is a spare tire hold down clamp . Wondered if any cars in '28 to '33 years used also . Thanks Tom
  20. If the cell is shorted out . You will only have about 4 to 5 volts . And it is shorted by build up on bottom of cell you can sometimes flush clean and put the acid back in . However if plates warped and shorted not much hope . Worth a try but use gloves ,googles and ventilation and wear cloths you may not miss losing . Becareful !
  21. I would recommend removing coil from engine . Same set up on my truck lead to it overheating and opening on thermal protection then resetting --repeat . I moved in to cab fire wall . Tom
  22. Make sense, with two wire plug ,assume it is one filament bulb?

  24. What was the brand of side view mirrors used . I believe they where 5 " and show a 1/4" stem and nut attachment from center . E-bay has a trio of old truck mirrors up know . Most have bad mirroring .
